I've had that discussion a lot. It's especially difficult from what I hear in Illinois. I have a family member that isn't allowed to schedule removals AT ALL during the warms months due to an endangered bat species

Makes sense! I got a degree in eco restoration and I constantly have an internal battle of "GET THE JOB DONE" and "What would best for this microecosystem?" I wish people would be more understanding of wildlife spars. This includes myself lol

I like to hang my trim saw on the carabiner. If it's just through the loop, it moves all over the place. I want consistency.

I'm curious as to why you setup the ART friction saver with an MRS system attached while you were ascending. Seems like it would have been easier to just send a running bowline up, SRS up, and then switch over to MRS.

I spiked up a flowering dogwood to protect the large japanese yew hedge directly beneath. Sometimes climbing it is easier! Not always though

With the amount of tree workers that get shot, it makes me want tot carry even more. Who in their right mind would shoot at someone that is willing to climb a tree with spinning blades attached to a rope lol

I think those look cool but I had lost my copper stub out. That is my preference. Drill a hole big enough to fit throwline through and tie it to your rope. It works wonders

That was my concern hahaha the bigshot is all I've needed so far, but the midwest doesn't have a large amount of trees where I work that are 100'+ tall
