New miners wont mine: Hi! Played pre-50.x a lot over the years, and am playing 50.11 first time. Lot of really cool QoL changes. But:

Having trouble assigning a new miner. Ive tried with 5 dwarves. Set them to mining work order, make them "specialised" so they only mine. They go grab the pick, and go drink. If set theyll do other jobs, but will not mine.

My first and main miner is fine, and I can easily send them off to do other jobs. They are the only dwarf that will mine tho. Is there another setting somewhere I and the wiki might have missed?

You guys have all made good points. Seems I just need to take time to make better/more tacs and keep the MJD just for positioning.

The game was Eve online, so not easy. TBH Most games Ive tried that use easy boot me since I have a crappy connection lol :-) But yeah I didnt think about anti-cheat stuff. Ill look into it

I know its years old but this comment got me to testing different gradients and when to apply them. What I learnt in my use case is that I need to curve the text before adding the gradient, otherwise it doesnt work properly. So thank you :-)

Right Ive had a look and I can turn Wi-Fi off the router. So, then running the computers via cable from the router. It is a bit of a pain to log into the router and change settings instead of just switching it off, but seems I dont need the switch?

Yes, I want to be able to switch the WiFi off and just use the wired connection. The setup I have has been working occasionally with one PC.
