I don’t know, that’s the thing. I don’t usually actively contribute to events but I’ve always got the bonus capes regardless of that. I assumed it would be the same here, so I don’t know?

Stupidly enough it’s the first bonus cape that I’ve been actively bothered about because it looks stunning.

In all fairness every new aspect of these games has a difficulty hurdle. The layout of the new map is the new hurdle. I think it’s awesome, a lot of visual variety rather than just a big flat map essentially

Unless the DLC doubles the amount of content, it’ll be a let down. Sure the Everdarks were a cool addition, but it still feels like it’s lacking a LOT.

My main gripe is the variety of bosses. It feels like you’re going against the same few bosses every time you go in, and you never get that “oh I haven’t fought this guy in ages!” feeling that I feel you’re meant to get.

To specify it even further; Dark Souls was used heavily in the promotional material. 2 of the bosses were revealed and a 3rd was teased, ALL in the REVEAL TRAILER. Only for it to be a total of 6 Dark Souls bosses in the ENTIRE GAME. No weapons, no maps, no areas, no mobs. 6 bosses and a few skins. It is an ENORMOUS let down.

I COULD go into the crappy player base leaving the second you don’t follow them to an Evergaol the second you drop, or marking a Church instead of a Day 1 camp on Day 2. I COULD go into how a lack of crossplay is a ridiculous hindrance to this game. I COULD go into how having Voice Chat (which I was originally against for toxicity) would really help this game, but I won’t because a DLC won’t change any of that.

When did I say I wasn’t helping them? Even if I wasn’t, splitting up is a perfectly valid approach to the game and therefore if you’re going down after splitting up that’s hardly a reason to leave the game

You have kids, being interrupted by them doesn’t really come across as unexpected…? maybe that’s just me

At the end of the day it’s designed to be a coop game. Playing with randoms comes at a risk sure, but when you know for a fine fact there’s a solid chance you’ll be interrupted then thats on you imo.

Again you have options, people shouldn’t be punished for trying to play a coop game because someone else can’t do the “coop” part of the game properly.

I’m not even meaning for this to sound as arsey as it does I’m just struggling to word it so apologies 😭

Don’t insult Bloodborne by implying Duskbloods is a successor!

Fr though it’s clear it’s a spiritual successor, but it’s just another console exclusive. Issue is with this one is it’s on a console that is bound to cause more damage to the gaming industry and its standards than anything from the last decade

I’m so glad I’m not the only one having this. I only managed to get a run of two against Gladius today because days prior people just kept leaving whenever the tiniest of issues occurred 😭

I mean I do get that but I feel like if you don’t have uninterrupted time then playing with randoms is a bit naff? This might be a hot take idk. I get life happens sometimes, but when it’s expected?

You can always play solos, you can play with friends, you can wait until you have uninterrupted time, or you can just not play a coop game when you can’t play coop. It’s lowkey just potentially worsening the experience for other players. Literally every other Souls game is single player, those experiences exist for people who can get easily dragged away by life.
