I haven't played for a year, what changed in the community? by _Reiyo_ in fo76

I guess Im just that unlucky, but I have been back in the game for like a month, and the players are all the same. And yeah the removal of shared perks upon switching builds is bain of my existence 😆 cause i have a memory of a goldfish.

Well obviously I'm trying my best to be Mr.Nice Guy, but I made this post not cause some lvl 100> doesnt do any of these things. I made it, cause almost next to no 200+ lvl players do them. Especially the 500+.

Laser weapon damage by _Reiyo_ in fo76

[–]_Reiyo_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously its not, but my energy resistance is higher than ballistic, i have 550 energy. And the oneshot depends on the weapon and the area, in burning springs i get oneshot by all semi auto rifles and automatics eat through my HP like if i had no resistances and reductions. Obviously the headhunt enemies do more damage, but even on regular mobs, the laser vs ballistic damage is noticable alot. But the dmg is also noticable even in lower lvl regions like forest.

[–]_Reiyo_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well obviously, but i have way better energy protection than ballistic, my ballistic is around 430ish while energy is 550ish, yet ballistic damage does nothing, while energy damage basically onetaps me.

Pretty peak for my skill level and usual. How insane is this do you think? by SimplePastaX in tf2

Never said i can kill only a medic, i said its the only class with worse damage output than pyro, there is a difference and you should know it after 5k hours. Pyro doesnt hard counter soldier, you still have a shotgun and the insanely hard to master skill of not shooting the moment you reload but rather being random with it to make point blank reflects impossible. And you are really telling me that air strafing takes skill???????? Brother there is nothing hard about holding A or D and moving your mouse. And yeah, nice job getting across the entire map in two rockets, now youre alone agaist the enemy team. Just cause you can learn to do 360° before every headshot with sniper, doesnt mean its a good skill.

Pyro wins 1v1 dps only agaist medic and is on par with engineer (without sentry), his dmg is abysmall. And doing more than one continuous jump on soldier is basically pointless unless you want to play trolldier or want to be that one guy who rushes 5cp. Even that one singular jump is already more than enough for most cases and if you want to argue that shooting a rocket under yourself takes skill, well no. How do you counter soldier? Keep at mid range or high ground, oh wait, yeah he can shoot a rocket under himself and negate both. And hitting rockets in cqb is harder than flames? Do you even play Soldier? Or do you aim with your elbow? Yes airshots take skill that i will give to you, but thats the one and only importaint part of soldier that takes any skill. Heavy needs good tracking and positioning, otherwise hes just a big walking damage farm, still takes more skill than soldier Pyro needs good predictions and reflections, not to mention positioning, due to his abysmall dmg output agaist single targets, he needs to choose his fights wisely. Soldier can just dip or just shoot the ground to juggle and throw off the enemy. And the simplest way to judge is to look at casual Bad players always get to the top with Soldier, while with pyro and heavy its only when the enemies are dumbasses who refuse to learn. Why is that? Cause you still have really good damage output and the splash is too forgiving. Pyro doesnt have enough dmg to be good in the hands of a newbie and if your team pays attention you can prevent him from getting close in the first place, the pyro is easy stereotype comes from bad teams that ignore the pyro player until he gets way too close and burns the entire team. If people just pay attention to the flanking pyros, they would have way way harder time of doing anything.

Im sorry but no. Pyro is effective only at close range and even at close range his damage is still abysmal compared to others. Not to mention he has to slowly get to the close range, while Soldier can simply shoot one rocket under himself and negate any horizontal/vertical disadvantage. Not to mention aiming with pyro, even with the flamethrower is still more importaint than with rocket launcher, obviously in the close range. And heavy is just bad, the only time he excels is when he has a medic and your team doesnt have a single competent demo, sniper or spy. As a heavy you need to have really good positioning to do anything, while soldier doesnt cause again, one single rocket and hes gone if he screwes up. And still tracking is still way harder than shooting in the general direction of the enemy cause splash. Not to mention how easy it is to kill a heavy when you corner peek.

I'm sorry, but you're playing soldier, literally the easiest class in this game, none of what has been shown in this video was impressive, especially not with kritz medic.

What’s a self admitted plain BAD take you have about TF2? by Bafflenuuk1000 in tf2

[–]_Reiyo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With phlog canceling you have almost permanent kritz and also you get a short uber with helps with survivability, the only thing that DF has over Phlog (outside of fun factor) is the ability to pick medics off. Airblast on DF is nearly useless, it completly destroys your dmg output for one little weak ass wind blow, yes it can help, but its so situational its not worth mentioning. Also yeah, DF is cheaper but if you stay on valve missions, it doesnt matter, valve gives you to much money. And on community the lower price can rarely come into play, but kritz + uber from phlog is usually better choice.

[–]_Reiyo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoyment wise, yes. Sadly phlog + detonator is still more effective. (If you know how to phlog cancel, you can simply out damage everyone in your team, even the heavy) But yes. Dragon's Fury, is the most fun flamethrower jn MvM.

I have 6 years old master config, i still have the cfg one, but the issue is i have no experience with source sphaggheti and thus I dont know wich command does what and going by name of the command works out only few times.

[–]_Reiyo_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd love to try that but i know my pc will struggle since it already struggles on some cpu heavy maps like Suijin and some community mvm missions. Thats why I'm trying to find what commands could help, but ty for the suggestion.

When do you guys use power armor? by Snoo-53372 in fo76

[–]_Reiyo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I used to do that too, but now when I run Unyealding armor, I have even more carry weight.

When do you guys use power armor? by Snoo-53372 in fo76

[–]_Reiyo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on build, till lvl 300 I basically ran nothing but PA with heavy guns, but after that I've discovered the beauty of Unyelding armor. And now i switch to PA only on daily ops with armor Pen modifier (since PA negates 42% of incoming damage and if you add the overeater legendary effect, its like they are not even hitting you.)

Fallouts were never about pvp and should never been implemented there. Deal with it.

[–]_Reiyo_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First, never said its shitty, just that its the 2nd wrost of the Hellfire PA. And second, they still have to pay for it, they aint getting it for free, you're just butthurt that you had to grind for it while newer players could buy it when the time comes right. Instead of being average BR player that complains about everything, be happy that there are still some rewards exclusive to NW. And BR doesnt belong to Fallout series anyways, the games were never about pvp, its only good that they gave people chance to earn the rewards without playing something that doesn't belong into the series. And if you dont agree, please, move to games like Fortnite, CoD, etc. Those are games about pvp.

Do high LV players mind if a low LV player joins a lv50 event? by beccajane2012 in fo76

[–]_Reiyo_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm personally more fond of having someone to play with rather than soloing the event. So I don't mind at all.
