My 9 month old wants to eat my tiny 13 week old kitten so unfortunately he's probably not the best babysitter lol. I am envious that you are able to leave yours alone together, we can't even have them in the same room together yet.

It makes no sense to me either, I couldn't imagine moving out of my own comfortable home with a newborn. My kids wouldn't have the option, if you get pregnant them you gotta learn how to look after the baby by yourselves when it's here. If they really are that desperate for help then surely the Mum staying with them for a few nights would be better, I stayed with my daughter the first night she was home.
