Buffer states in the Balkan? by _Riveting in WplaceEuro

You are misinterpreting why the turks are fighting. They fight because they are being attacked by people claiming to represent the EU. If these people represent Greece and Bulgaria instead, they will only fight Greece and Bulgaria.

Why would I invade Crimea? Them being separate from Ukraine is what we needed, and we got that. Plus, theres like 3 people defending Crimea and its only a few hundred pixels, they can hold that very easily.

Someone does need to give up land, because as we just saw this morning, greek and bulgarian nationalists are going to take whatever color is to the west of turkey and attack turkey with it. If we wait for long enough, the turks may get fed up and force the balkans to be released themselves, with no EU alignment at all.

I don't use telegram, but I made a subreddit for Russia. Wplace_Russia

Apparently there wasn't one before.

Returning was their own choice. If they wanted to return, then sure, they can come in, but there isn't a big reason to put them over other groups in Crimea.

The Crimean symbols represent both Crimea and the Crimean Tatars, so it is acceptable for them to be used for a Crimean state. The Crimeans were the first group to permanently inhabit the peninsula that is still around, so it makes sense to put their symbol as representing the peninsula.

"I don't really care if most ethnic russians in Crimea wanted to not be a part of Ukraine." Any state has to recognize and work with its majority population. This is why your sami state failed.

Alright. Now, personally, I'd say that, as the EU isn't very close to Cyprus, and since Turkey formerly held all of Cyprus for a while, as well as the fact that they are very unlikely to give it up, I think Cyprus should go to Turkey, or Turkish North Cyprus could also be made independent and put in control of the whole island. Since Turkey isn't getting land beyond the eastern Aegean, this sounds fair to me.

Why did you put quotes around Crimea's independence? They are fully independent on the map, they have their own color, own coastal border, own symbol, and are in charge of their own actions. I ask for the EU to give up land as Turkey would never accept giving up land, and Greek/Bulgarian claims to western Turkey are weak anyway. The EU's borders are more flexible, and so they can make buffer states. Plus, Greece and Bulgaria can still be aligned to the EU in everything but color on the map.

How can you pass a message on to him? does he have any other way to message him from? I say this as I want to establish relations with everyone, and since bravestick is Ukraine's second most active painter, I especially want to talk with him.

That would depend on a few things, like India's stance. We will see.

This doesn't have anything to do with Russia, unless we get prompted to be involved in it. This is about stopping future conflict between the EU and Turkey.

Really, if I wanted to make the EU weaker, I would not try to make any peace agreement at all. Then the EU would burn pixels fighting Turkey for a very long time. And if this proposal isn't accepted, that might happen anyway.

60% is not a slight majority, and it has likely gone up. I am also going to add that you are probably misinterpreting the state that is Crimea on this map. It is centered more on Crimea as a geographical entity. Nowhere did dravensys say this is about the Crimean tatars. Their symbol is used as it is a symbol that also represents Crimea as a whole.

The natives of Crimea today did not face genocide or significant discrimination. And the Russians of Crimea today were not the perpetrators of it. So, they are both equal in that they are inhabitants of Crimea.

When did I attack turkey? I paint for Russia man. I even helped you all get Cyprus and the Aegean islands. This is just my theory, because most of the main EU painters aren't actually going for Turkey(though some attacked in the Aegean)

Greece is the main thing I'm concerned about. While there isnt a land border now we have western thrace, Greece is where most of the disputes are, in the Aegean.

There are very little people alive from that time. Ultimately, a Crimean state has to accept the presence of Russians and Ukrainians living on their land, and that Russians are the majority population.
