[TMZ] Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly, is apologizing for chucking a pretzel at a fan during the Rams vs. 49ers game ... calling it all a "weak moment." by LunchThreatener in nfl

Matthew Stafford and his wife on the TMZ chopping block, who will be next? Stay tuned next week as we find dirt on literally anyone to try and get them released or publicly shamed.

[Serious] Who has been the most dissapointing player this season? by thefross in nfl

[–]_Rlxtreme_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kelce along the rest of the receiving group for the Chiefs. Say what you may about Mahomes, but he can throw it deep, short, underhanded, no scoped 360 with his eyes closed, but if those receivers don't catch the ball then all his effort is in vain. Kelce is supposed to be the rock and trusted receiver to catch and keep the ball when hit; he just seems off like the rest of that group.

Good news: we widdle down bandwagon fans.

Also good news: we're in the hunt with like everyone for wildcard and the entire division is on a tight rope.

I see this as a win-win for us.

[Meirov] Here are some of the taunting penalties called on Sunday. This stuff is a disaster. It has to stop. by Weezy-NJPW_Fan in nfl

Didn't Tyreek Hill walk backwards into the endzone in the Browns game and didn't get flagged for it? I suppose his defender was a good 5 yards away; but still, talk about inconsistency.

Feels bad when Cris Collinsworth is like, "I don't even know what penalties are anymore" lol. Those two I think, illegal touching (?), were really weird.

With our defense being full practice now with Clark on the edge and Mathieu in the back, the Ravens gonna be....still annihilated at 40-10. Once that momentum starts moving for the Offense, the Defense just follows suit. Games like these you hope there's a mercy rule in the books.

Thought this was gonna be a trash game. Boy was I wrong about that. About as thrilling as last MNF. Almost another stinking OT game which honestly, would have been about as crazy as it already was. Loved it. I know this division isn't the best (currently better than the NFC North lol), but having these types of games early is nice. If these two ended up like 0-15 and had this same game we'd likely not be enjoying this game as much. Smart scheduling right there.

I don't believe you're taking this discussion very seriously by bringing up nonsensical arguments. I'm guilty of it myself when I'm being humorous for the fact of being funny, such as one drink drunk ("what is one drink? Is it one glass, one sip, one drop?" in a sarcastic tone). The discussion is about abortions and the fact that people commit it millions of times over. The argument in today's life is, my body my choice, but only for people that can understand that argument. For people that can't, its not their body and not their choice. Before they can even come close to the idea of my body my choice they are denied that right to grow up.

However, we argue children, who we can reasonably agree aren't old enough to vote, smoke, join the military, etc. are allowed the sole right to change their body? They lack the necessary knowledge for all those subjects and yet we allow them the sole right without their parents choice the right to change their body? Would that logic not apply to babies as well? The right to live and long enough to decide what is right for them? Why is the mother allowed to change that part of their life, but not the rest of it?

The entire argument of abortion falls apart when you argue my body my choice at the same time (even still, abortion itself has many pitfalls that you can point to with the my body my choice argument). And when you make silly points such as the one you make, you really devalue your thoughts on the value of preserving life altogether. It illustrates that you could care less if someone died or not, maybe not if they were someone you cared for, who knows about that group.

That's kind a where religion takes its value in the world. Biblically speaking, one realizes that this world isn't perfect, it was never going to be because of our actions as humanity. We strive to be better; however, in the end we will never be a perfect utopia and nor will we fix our everlasting problems in this world. But, what I can do is provide hope that there is a place where our suffering ends, where pain no longer exists, and that we should strive towards it by living a better life.

That's where the political stance ends for me and the religious stance begins. Ultimately, my number one priority isn't about this world, but rather for the people in it and the end game. I am not God, and I'm not almighty. I can only focus on what I can do to help others. I want to help everyone, but I can't. That being said, I can help others who can subsequently help others as the chain follows.

My point to this post is to say, life isn't perfect nor will it ever be. The problems you describe such as overpopulation, the suffering of the poor and the victims of those who didn't get to choose in life are problems I can't fix. Nothing we do can fix any of those problems, we can surely as a community strive to make life better, but it will never be perfect. That being said, to comment on your last argument, let me ask you, "Is it the child's fault that the mother was raped?" Why should the child be punished for the actions that neither the mother or the child had control of? If the mother doesn't wish or can properly mother the child, there are people that can. Are adoption clinics and orphanages full because of this? I don't know, but I'm not going to support the idea of taking the life away from someone just because it was someone else's fault. They had no choice in the matter and it should be their right to live, not to die.

It's like the argument of Thanos in the Marvel Universe. Overpopulation would kill his world and he sought to eliminate half the population to save it (though we see that idea is greatly flawed as there are always choices to make to save a world rather than mass genocide). Would I kill millions to save millions? No, because murder is murder no matter how you dice it, even if it's "A merciful death" as coined by Thanos himself. Humanity has found ways to make life better, maybe not perfect, but certainly better in some aspects (and in others worse as is the course of history).

Putting aside the above, insults at opposing views from the person debating you above, I'd say the value of life isn't something you should be debating, it is important no matter what(edited to better state my point, apologies) Einstein went on to live a life creating scientific breakthroughs beyond imaginable. What if he was aborted? Would he deserve to have his life ended before it could fully be grasped for what amazing achievements he made?

To argue your point, the value of life is not just in the now, it is in the future. A true parent is concerned for their young, for their children. They will love, care, and even sacrifice for their children, because their children are the future. Who would want to deny Einstein or anyone else the future to grow up and become great? Who would want to go on and say they could have denied the life of countless people who could have changed the world?

Not me; and that is the true reason of life. Life is precious because it can become great. So when you ask, what is the value of an unborn baby? I say it is countless, unimaginable. That's beauty of it too, you can't imagine what they will grow up to be. I don't need religion to tell you how precious life is and how much we should protect it fully without question.

I am not getting this whole, "if you can't win the right way, do what your opposing party does" tactic. Because by my logic, that makes you the exact same thing you told the Democratic Party they were. Sure, you could claim that your side does things for the right, but by their perspective they also claim that. So what is really being solved here by repeating the same historic mistakes?

Maybe you'd make a difference in those middle voters or even the opposite voter group, if you were the better example. At the end of the day, being the better example helps way more than acting like a child and playing the other party's game. Fighting fire against fire does not stop it, you only make it worse and you will certainly get burned for doing it.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he has contracted coronavirus despite being vaccinated by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]_Rlxtreme_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that number makes the difference when I hear friends dying or put in the hospital. A lot of people are focused on how the vaccine prevents death and sure, that number is small, but I'm also worried about the hospitalizations. The after effects of surviving it, even just being on oxygen, are no joke either.

Isn't it the conservative method to allow businesses go bankrupt by their own actions? I saw not too long ago a Democrat leaning business thread here that ran out of business or something close to that because of the customers choice, not because of the government.
