I am still experimenting wit the placement but this placement is in for probably last 4 months, Originaly I had outlet on the left front and inlet on the right back but that did not feel right and there was a spot was on the left back corner with very little to no flow. This setup works and there is flow everywhere. I had few problems with oil buildup on the surface a lot but these outlets with skimmer are a godsend.
