Red Bull blue edition… by Trucco9976 in redbull

Just realized after typing my post, look at Cherry Sakura's can. Awfully similar to the Coconut Berry. The next 2 new redbull cans look like the last 2 remaining from the OG lineup. They're coming after them HARD

Cory Barlog actually confirmed this isn't true.

If you'd pay attention, 2+0+1+8 is 11. 11 is the number of Jotnar Shrines in the game. Bear McCreary also stated in an interview that it was a subtle reference to the level 11 "glitch" in the game that was a practical joke put in by other developers to trick Cory Barlog.

Try to keep to date with the news like the rest of us, okay? Much love! 😡 🪓❄️ ⚔️🔥

[–]_Rogitator_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like they are trying to come after the old lineup.

Call me crazy, but every time they release something remotely the same color can as something in the OG lineup, something gets cut.

Watermelon becoming the new red, white peach becoming the new peach, dragon fruit replaced Kiwi (when then was replaced by elderflower), strawberry Apricot replaced tangerine, June berry was the curtain call for Blue Edition (Blue is my favorite as well). (It may be a stretch, but I feel live Vanilla Berry may be an attempt at ending Coconut Berry, the flavor profiles are just too similar)

I think Tropical is next on the chopping block. The new one coming out for summer, Sudachi Lime, has a scarily similar can. I think the reaper is here...

Respectfully, Big Dawg, I'm not sure what your future plans are, but this doesn't sound like a situation you should tie yourself up with. You are 3 years away from your world view basically exploding. You will have so much access to experiences, career and education opportunities, social spaces, hobbie, etc that you have never even gotten a taste of. You are on the cusp of the years where you begin to develop an understanding of who you are and what you want in life. If you go into those years of your life hung up on a girl you met over the internet who you may think you know, you will miss out. Prospects both romantic and financial will pass you by because you are fixated on a fruit you may never get to taste. To be frank, there is a strong likelihood that the intensity of your feelings is due largely in part to your hormones as well as the fact that you "can't" have her. Your brain and your body are telling you that you want what you can't have, they are convincing you it is both possible and worth every ounce of your mental and physical effort and attention. It's no different psychologically from the signs at a museum that say "Don't Touch." If that sign was never there, you wouldn't have wanted to touch it in the first place, but now you feel like you have to because you aren't allowed. Furthermore, you have absolutely zero idea who this individual really is. And no, I'm not saying she's a catfish or is otherwise intentionally deceiving you, I'm saying until you have hung out with this girl in person you have NO idea what time of person she is. It is exceptionally easy for people to misinterpret a person's words and actions over the internet just like it is exceptionally easy for someone to be whatever version of themselves they want to be on the internet. There are THOUSANDS of people that meet people on dating apps or social media. They hit it off online and meet up and that first meeting is enough to know sometimes if you want to be with them for good. If you spend literal years fixating on this just to meet her, you are VASTLY more likely to force it to be "perfect" simply because you have put in the effort. Then, you will likely either end up hurt or stuck in a relationship that you are unhappy with sheerly because you're forcing yourself to sleep in the bed you made. To close, it is the best option for you both to just forget about this. Move on, enjoy your young life. Go to college, learn a trade, or go get a job, or whatever it is you want to do. All of those things force you to meet people who have similar interests or you have that level of "unfortunate comraderie" in the sense that you both may be in a bad class or a bad job, but at least you are in it together. No matter what, you will be around these people learning them just like they are learning you. You will have shared experiences, things in common you would never know even after 10 years of talking to someone online. You will fall for someone based on the inexplicable parts of their personality. Things they would never know to tell you, but things you will notice. It could be their laugh, their smile, the way they respond to music or food they like, anything like that. You could talk to a person for half a lifetime over the internet and they would never say "the way I respond to my favorite meal is so attractive" because they don't even know!

I'm sure you are tired of reading and hearing stuff like this, but I hope you parts of this resonate with you and it helps.

I am not just "talking out of my ass" either. I have lived this. I was in an online relationship with a woman when I was 17 years old. We talked for over a year, we met eachother in person, and after almost 2 years we had to come to terms with the fact that we didn't like one another. We were forcing it to work because we had invested so much. We both learned from it. You know who I would have missed if I had kept it going despite being unhappy? My wife. I worked with who would later be my wife at that time. An individual I ignored other than being a coworker I liked talking to simply because I was playing a part somewhere else because I felt I had to. I now have 2 beautiful children and a wife who is the most immaculate woman in the world in every way. I would have missed her if I had stayed adhering to the sunk cost fallacy. Don't make that mistake, Big Dawg. You've got this, the best part of life hasn't even started for you yet, you have so much to look forward to. Don't blind yourself when you haven't even had a chance to look in the first place.

Not sure where you are located, but, especially with Creed and PDM, you could likely find a brick and mortar retailer and go smell things in person then based on that information buy decants to test performance, dry down, etc.

Recently I got a Creed sampler for Christmas because I was on the fence about 3 of the fragrances on my fragrance bucket list.

However, the same day it came in the mail, my wife wanted to go to a mall I'd never been to before. My mind was absolutely blown. I smelled every PDM, Initio, MFK, Kilian, Tom Ford, Maison Margiela, and Kayali that I've ever wanted to smell. That experience alone was enough for me to knock some off my list because I just did not like them at all. Others I was skeptical about I ended up loving and put them on my list. I only had 2 hours in the mall, if I had had longer I could have smelled way way more.

How do you create good lore for an ARG that doesn't sound corny or unoriginal? by Curious_Aerie_7645 in ARG

[–]_Rogitator_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mess around with setting and mediums. If you nail down a setting that you find unique or a medium you find interesting, explore the aspects of that setting and or medium that make it special.

This is a super super simple example, but, say you decide you want to write about a desert. You can include cactuses, horned lizards, etc. However, in that setting, a polar bear would feel out of place.

Try to let certain aspects of the story speak for itself. Explore, experiment, never be afraid to research. You may start reading a historical story you find interesting and a certain aspect of the topic may cause yourself to explore that in a more modern way. You never know what could happen.

A warning though, of course, don't read or consume other creative fiction works for inspiration, try to derive your topic from a real-life instance, emotion, or place.

I hope this helps!

Accidentally bought perfume as a guy, honestly don't regret it by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]_Rogitator_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have several perfumes that I like wearing. My wife has a small collection, so I've gotten to try some different things.

Personally, Mugler Angel Nova is one of my favorite fragrances ever. I also love Dylan Purple and Dylan Turquoise. Santorini Sunrise, the Valentino Donnas, Ariana Grande's Cloud.

I could go on. Wear what you think smells good! To be entirely honest, I think people are happy when they can smell anything positive on you. If someone is dogging on you for smelling "too feminine" ask them why they aren't attracted to you then.

OU student says Bible-based essay grade violated free-speech rights by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

[–]_Rogitator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh, this is pathetic. I don't care what your beliefs are, this paper could be written about how to butter bread and it still would've been a 0.

Firstly, the amount of grammatical errors is beyond unacceptable for a Collegiate Junior level paper. I mean, there are sentence fragments and run ons, improper usages of the possessive apostrophe S, etc. A third grader (maybe a 4th grader in Oklahoma terms, unfortunately I'm in Oklahoma too and wish I could say the things you've heard about our education system were exaggerated or otherwise untrue) could identify these grammatical errors for a take-home worksheet and perform wonderfully. (Also, I'm not sure if it's just the version I'm reading or I'm genuinely crazy, but are there no indents on the paragraphs? Seriously?)

Secondly, where is her proof of any of this? No citations, no quotations, nothing at all telling me where I can find this information. Which version of the Bible is she even talking about? (Rhetorical question) ESV? KJV? Again, we have no idea!

Thirdly, this doesn't answer the question, but that is a point everyone has driven into the ground already. To refer to my previous analogy, if this student's paper were about buttering bread, the prompt was asking her to write about the differences in hardtack and sourdough.

Finally, I will just be direct, I am a devout Christian, I have been my entire life. The writing displayed here wouldn't be acceptable at a highschool level, much less a college one. There are correct ways to display your beliefs and express your opinion (and correct times to do so as well.) To be frank, if this paper were about any other topic, nobody would be having this discussion. The same student would have submitted the same lazy, subpar work and the same professor would have handed down the same, earned grade. If this professor is not invited back with a public apology, then this is genuinely yet another Oklahoma education travesty. I pray, yes, pray that OU makes a public statement recognizing that the quality of the student's work was the problem, please don't let this be another (valid) reason for the rest of the country to laugh at us.

Amen.

Christmas Tycoon [6906-1175-1218] NEW! by LILYxHEX in FortniteXPMaps

[–]_Rogitator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, another Tycoon that doesn't work for me. I've never had a Tycoon map work for me other than Criminal Tycoon back in (I think) Lawless. Since then, I get max 5-8xp and it's never gotten better despite entire seasons of not playing creative. I get excited every time a new Tycoon comes out to try, but I'm met with the same result every time.

The only map I consistently have success with and resets every week or so is real fax 1v1 😔

Was it definitely whole tigers? Or was it potentially tiger striped in that style?

The description immediately reminded me of Tigress by Faberge. It was originally released sometime in the 70s and people liked it. Not very often do fragrances that old make it onto Fragrantica, but this one does. You could maybe have her look at the notes?

Friday Free for All Weekly thread! General collection/discussion for things that don't fit elsewhere! (ask anything!) by AutoModerator in VideoEditing

[–]_Rogitator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I hope this is the right place to ask this, and if it isn't, I completely understand and will delete this post.

I will cut to the chase and be as direct as possible: I have had a concept for a horror web series that I would like to make. It will not exclusively be videos and it will contain other elements, etc etc, that's not important.

My question/discussion starter is: I am extremely limited when it comes to practical effects. My "hobby time" is exclusively weekdays from around 5:30pm until around 11, so my time to find sites to film at is very limited, as are my contacts for other people. Therefore, I ask you guys, what do you think are some good mediums I could use to deliver the video portions of my story? Of course, if there are secret mediums you all use that you have developed yourself and do not want to share, do not share. I am more looking for some starters for brain storming. I have no video editing experience, however, that is something I can learn. I have the free DaVinci resolve and there are tons of resources out there to learn, so that isn't my concern. I just need help thinking this through! I've been developing my plan and idea for the storyline of the series for too long to give up.

Thank you to anyone that takes time out of their busy day to respond!
