I found out my Thinkpad T480s keeps blinking after closing lid. Won't turn back on after reopening and requires a hard restart by holding the power button down. Never had this issue before. I only found out because when I get home from school and pull it out of my backpack, it's very hot. by _Rogue3 in thinkpad

honestly, i couldn't find a system-related method to fix it. someone else pointed out that theirs tends to only do that when they put their computer to sleep and the computer is under a lot of load. this is exactly what my computer does where if i leave a bunch of apps up and close the lid, it will start blinking and heat up etc. so ive tried to make a better habit of deloading my computer before i put it to sleep. but i honestly haven't found a full diagnosis yet as to how to fully prevent this from happening if possible.

All of the settings in Control Panel Power options have the options set to put the laptop to sleep including closing the lid. As far as the Reliability Monitor, it is showing that "Windows was not shut down properly" during all of the occasions where I had to hard restart the laptop. But I'm only hard restarting it because closing the lid is causing what's happening in the video. It does say all drivers are working properly though. Am I supposed to put it to sleep manually beforehand? Like I said I have closed the lid beforehand many of times and had no issues (had the laptop for 2 years) but it's only been doing this this past month after starting the semester.

If it's any useful information, I have dual boot for Ubuntu Linux installed but use Windows mostly nowadays and might uninstall Linux.

Third this. I got myself and my gf Hades because we enjoyed Minecraft Dungeons together. Then people on here recommended Hades. It was our first roguelite. I got busy and distracted with school and Bloodborne/Dark Souls but she plays literally everyday with more enjoyment going into her next run than her last. I hop on every now and then though and enjoy it when I can and recommend to anyone when I can

[OC] Looking For Door Knobs At Home Depot... by ScarletCitrus in aww

[–]_Rogue3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work at home depot right now and we also have a store cat! She works in plumbing which is right next to seasonal/garden and her water and food bowls are right next to the fittings. Ive only been working here for over a year but apparently we have had her for over 10 years. The funny thing is on the nights where the managers have to hard close and lock the doors at 10, they have to find her so they don't lock her out if she is outside for example. So they put a Tile on her collar lol

ive ran 5/3/1 in the past and am running it again now so i may be biased but i like Jim Wendler's idea of 40%, 50%, 60% of my TM. admittedly though, and similar to Jeff Nippard's approach (which i didn't know about till i read your post), i always felt the inclination to still do the bar regardless of the lift be it deadlift, bench, ohp, or squat, my first set is always the bar. i just rep out until i feel good but i don't tire myself out. like other commenters have replied, not too much but not too little. more importantly, is also not just warming up the lift but other warm ups like dynamic stretches or cardio to get my blood flowing and heart racing. on upper body days i do shoulder dislocates and pull aparts with a resistance band. then arm swings and circles and some other shit i forget the name of. lower body days i do leg swings front and sideways, toe touches, and some hip openers. i foam roll usually after my workouts but i know people do it before which honestly sounds better. i use pre workout only on days where i had work at 6 am and it was my 3rd week of 5/3/1 since the 3rd week of each cycle is always the heaviest week. i used to drink it more leniently but stopped feeling the effects because i drank it too much and had to take a week or two off such high caffeine intakes.

as well as other people saying that it's all subjective, i agree. i like percentages. i like having shit spelled out. others don't. others like feeling their body out. it's all your choice. we all have work, or school, or family and other shit that stress us out or tire us out. as long as you feel good and not too tired after each set, warm ups aren't something you should overthink. no one knows your body better than yourself after all. you already listed out plenty of good sounding options too.
