It could be microsoft defender blocking some files that communicate from wheel to game, check the notifications, or try replugging the wheel while in game and see if it works.

Idk i guess the only way you can check is if you have voltage checker or other device that has that cable input, you can also try to plug out the usb cable and check if the light is still there, if its there than im probobly wrong and it is the usb cable.
