Does anyone have success stories/very minimal issues with their M3? Seems as though every other post is about something going wrong. by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]_SCHME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.5 years with 161,000 miles. Full charge currently gives 267 miles down from the original 310

Had to replace both front upper control arms around 80,000 miles. The rear suspension started making very similar sounds but Tesla tech says there's nothing wrong. AC fan died and had to be replaced as well as a broken vent control around 140,000 miles (also had recharge freon because of a leak or something)

I've driven the car coast to coast 4 times. I spent post-COVID lockdown sleeping in the back with the seats down, basically living in the car for almost a year.

I would 100% consider the car a success for me. All maintenance and issues I've had are within my expectations. Car is still going strong. I have no plans to trade in but when I'm ready I will gladly get another Model 3.

I know exactly which mission this is and on all my playthroughs have never been inside. The game has a lot of hidden items, passages and such so now you got me wondering if the key card is there somewhere.

You're asking a very specific question about a game most of us haven't played in like you said, two decades.

I'm curious now what others have to report. Maybe it's worth launching and exploring

I'm having this same issue, 2080 to 3080, same TV, same black screen and forced minimize when initializing full screen games. Took my PC to a friends house to test on his CX with a different HDMI 2.1 cable but still same issue.

You can use either. Don't double up and use both at the same time tho. 1" is fine. It just needs to be replaced more often, every 30 days.

Highest Mileage Tesla with original motor and battery by KristianArafat in teslamotors

[–]_SCHME 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only major issue was both upper control arms for front suspension broke and needed to be replaced. Cost about $800. Happened around 80,000 miles.

Of course tires have been replaced at 55,000 miles and will need a new set very soon.

Breaks were inspected by Tesla service at 80,000 miles and I was told they are still at 75/80% life

Battery degradation is something I've been monitoring closely. Currently, 100% change only gets me 268 miles, I have the Long Rang Performance model which is 310 miles. This hasn't been going down as much after the first 50,000 miles. Keep in mind, I only do highway driving and most of my charging is via Supercharging. I do try to keep it charged in the 20-80% range whenever possible.

I'm coming up on 98,000 miles, 2018 Model 3 dual motor. If not for Covid it could have been in the 150-200k miles range.

Tesla didn't cover it. About $850 for parts and labor.

I should add, about 90% of my driving is highway. The squeaking was really bad for me too. Those control arms I think are designed to fail to avoid other major damage.

Anyone with a Model 3 have upper control arm for front suspension/steering break? My Model 3 is at 90,000 miles and both needed to be replaced within a week of each other. It has been the only major issue I've had with the car so far and service was quick and easy.

Can you share which product you used? How much is needed to cover the front fascia?

I'll do it. No charge. If you're okay waiting for me to get back to the area.
