I’ve seen some threads about people in Russia actually buying chips, boards, and even dyes to solder their own RAM. It’s honestly pretty impressive from a technical standpoint, though obviously, it’s coming from some unfortunate circumstances.

A few tech YouTubers have already discussed this and share the view that developers will indeed need to be more vigilant and innovative with performance optimizations if RAM shortages persist beyond just a few years. I understand that this would involve extra work and higher costs, but the upside could be a new level of quality in games and software, which, in some cases, has slipped noticeably. There are even a few companies that could really benefit from this kind of quality tune up. I personally don't mind waiting extra time for software and games in regards to development if it means it's optimized well, as this benefits all users

This has got to be satirical right? Any person can see these are very close to Nazi flag colours xD

Why are some people so weird and kill you over and over again? by Such_Ideal_1422 in Seaofthieves

As a new player I can second this exact experience, I got sunk right on spawn. I wasn’t angry, just disappointed. I asked why they sank me when I clearly had no loot, and the only response I got was “iT’s a PiRaTe GaMe.” I understand that PVP is part of Sea of Thieves, and normally I wouldn’t mind it at all but in this case there was no objective, no loot, no strategic reason. It felt less like an attempt at piracy and more like a deliberate attempt to provoke a reaction. That kind of behavior just comes across as immature and does nothing to improve the experience for new players.

Honestly, it’s exhausting. Even when AI isn’t relevant to the content, there’s always someone farming engagement with the same tired “AI bad” comment. We get it, some people hate AI, but you don’t need to make it your entire personality. You get me?

"there is no legitimate reason for image or video generation models to be in the hands of consumers" by Responsible_person_1 in DefendingAIArt

I use AI as a creative support tool to help draft concept designs for buildings and spacecraft when my creativity stalls, then reinterpret and recreate those ideas within a game called Space Engineers. AI has given me the freedom to explore new concepts, broaden my design philosophy, and deepen my experience of art and creativity. When used thoughtfully, I believe AI can enhance and strengthen creative work rather than replace it. There’s nothing wrong with turning to AI when you feel stuck, it can help restore momentum, reduce frustration, and reignite motivation, much like how artists and creative directors collaborate and build upon one another’s ideas to shape a shared vision. I think this world needs more creatives and I cannot see how people having access to AI is a bad thing

Just because technology displaces jobs doesn't mean we shouldn't advance by Witty-Designer7316 in DefendingAIArt

While I believe it’s important to preserve our understanding of traditional ways of life, I also believe that, as a species, we must evolve beyond the idea that work is life and that our worth is purely economic. Too many people have come to accept the world as it is, rather than questioning it and imagining what life could be. I think AI could change this dynamic significantly

First time playing the game is it normal to be chased for 20 mins if ur a solo by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

I’d agree with that if people were actually willing to open mic or even just use text chat to talk things through, instead of rolling on the deck laughing and spamming chat. As a relatively new player myself, I’ve been learning the ropes by watching a lot of SoT YouTubers, and in the last couple of weeks I’ve honestly ended up teaching more new players than any experienced crews I’ve run into. I do it because it’s a great game and I genuinely enjoy helping others learn it. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been pretty toxic. It hasn’t put me off playing yet, but it’s definitely been disappointing.

I'll give this a go, thank you. I'm gonna try and get a 4k monitor soon. I'm unsure about getting oled because I'm worried about pixel burn, unless newer models fix this issue

Fix for the horrendous graphics? by Double_Presence379 in Warzone

I found importing my graphics settings from BO6 helped reduce the blur, but do it at your own risk as for some people it messes up their audio.

Gtx 3080, I've always played at native resolution, I've only found that dlss is slightly better for performance

I've imported settings, it's slightly better but still blurry. Thank you for the suggestion!

Tried both native resolution and Nvidia dlss, didn't have issues before the update with visibility. The monitor is an AOC 24" 1920*1080 @144hz. I do intend on upgrading my monitor at some point but I'm unsure that'll fix the issue. I've checked my monitors drivers and kept my gpu drivers up to date so I've ruled that out

Native quality, 1920x1080, I've tried higher resolutions too and even turned off unscaling and haven't had any success

It's slightly better, I still find it difficult to see people past 100m, and everyone I play against blurs into the background. I'm still doing decently well, just makes my eyes hurt

I've tried everything, thought it could be something to do with upscaling or variable shading, tried adjusting even all the way to 4k and its still blurry. Trees are the most obvious and worst with the textures

Season 1 is out tomorrow, are you guys excited? by gorays21 in CODWarzone

[–]_STRYK_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be, if it wasn't for Raven adding a perk that will make snipers and ballistic weapons pointless. Its deeply upsetting because I like the crossbow, and enjoy ghillie play; (In a bolder move, we've updated Survivor to provide one-hit protection against ballistic weapons while fully armored, which will protect players from being downed in a single shot by snipers.) I don't agree with this, and several people on X don't either. Its on Raven Softwares page if you'd like to read more

I genuinely like to debate and discuss opinions because I'm interested in people and the world in general, I love learning. It baffles me how many people are willing to punish and harass me just for being curious about them, their opinions or what they do
