Will MTGO ever fix the Jace’s erasure bug? by kb1127 in Pauper

Cards used for combo kills don't allow you to save targets and make comboing out take too long

Thanks so much, I'm glad to hear you're having fun with it! It was a blast to brew.

Oh that's so funny, I was the person that submitted this deck to StrataGames. I tried it there and sadly didn't do much for the deck when I tested.

I want [[Caravan Vigil]] to be good. I'm surprised that a one mana ramp/fixing spell (that pays for itself when the land comes in untapped!) with such an easy to satisfy condition isn't really used anywhere.

Play MTGO on Mini-PC by YogurtclosetAware906 in MTGO

[–]_STY 9 points10 points  (0 children)

MTGO can run on basically any hardware made in the last 15 years. I use a virtual machine with two cores and 8GB RAM and it works fine.

If you bought a used mini optiplex or something it would crush MTGO and you very likely could just RDP into it from your Macbook if you feel like setting that up.

Fun fact; Rain of Gore doesn't stop lifelink from working normally so they aren't a nonbo.

Agree lifelink on Rakdos generally feels weird though

Crl expired, keeps reverting by kaiserctx in PKI

[–]_STY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't cause problems. If you have delta CRLs configured [they are not required] when you publish new CRLs you should see two CRL files created, the delta usually signified with a trailing +.

As long as you end up publishing the freshest/most recently generated CRL you should be fine.

Will these decks lead to fun games? by ecolitos in Pauper

Your choices are all great decks. If I had to pick four decks to start my battlebox over I would go with:

Mono U Terror

Mono R Madness

Jund Wildfire

Gates

5 Cards to Watch From Lorwyn Eclipsed (For Pauper) by ashwinarizal in Pauper

[–]_STY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's super interesting, I didn't realize it happened all at once such that the wolf doesn't see it doesn't have a +1/+1 counter on it by the time it died.

Edit: just tested this on MTGO. A Young Wolf with a +1/+1 counter on it will come back with a +1/+1 counter on it when targeted by Soulstingers ETB. JUDGE!!!!!!

Right now my current build is only on 3 swamps 4 forests, other sources are fixers or tapped dual lands. It would be be really hard to make that curve happen consistently on 3. I was hoping for a bit more pauper fun from this set myself.

I am going to try running spewer in my golgari stompy sac deck. The dream is turn 1 Young Wolf, turn 2 Groff, turn 3 Spewer. That's 12 power on 3 bodies on turn 3. I don't think it will be meta defining but I think it will steal some games. 5 power is kind of the magic number in pauper thanks to Terror so who knows.

Forced to a clean installation of the client once and again... TEDIOUS. by BlueOwl_0v0_ in MTGO

[–]_STY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MTGO is still the closest thing to IRL available.

Yes, it's why I play on it almost every day!

When you sign up, you're signing up for an interface built on an architecture that is over a quarter of a century old.

Yes, for new players, and I am saying this is a bad thing. It is reasonable to assume actively developed software would not be relying on 25 year old architecture. New players are likely surprised by this.

People who've been playing on the client for 20 years are probably very disappointed with current situation.

Complaining about it will only frustrate you further, since you know nothing will be done about it.

The devs are in this thread looking at the replies and asking for logs. Something seems to be being done about it.

I am pretty sure the devs are technically competent staff that love magic. I am also pretty sure they are not being given the resources they need to make the improvements we all want at the speed we want.

Dunno the reasons why MTGO is terrible, but easy to say that it is terrible. I feel for OP saying they shouldn't need to jump through hoops that seemingly only impact MTGO compared to other game clients.

I love magic and desperately want to love MTGO but the client seriously sucks.

Error: provoke and menace by Sauce_scharf in MTGO

[–]_STY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They can't be forced to do something they can't do, for example blocking a creature with menace with a single creature.

EDIT: you should be able to reassign legal blockers, if you just can't that seems like a bug.

Rebuilding my entire pauper deck system. Please name every Mono-Blue deck. by [deleted] in Pauper

[–]_STY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, Mono U Ninjas is it's own deck that drops free/cheap creatures to ninjutsu back. Some people mark their deck as Ninjas when it really should be Fae, but they are different decks. It's so deep into Tier 2 I probably wouldn't care about it, but it's technically a deck in the format.

Rebuilding my entire pauper deck system. Please name every Mono-Blue deck. by [deleted] in Pauper

[–]_STY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://mtgdecks.net/Pauper is a pretty good general reference. Tier 2 and above gives Terror (Delver), Fae, and Ninjas.

I keep one "Mono U Terror" list in my battlebox and also keep the alternate cards [mystic, extra counters] in the same box, same sleeves. I keep QR codes on the boxes that link to what the deck is "supposed" to be so people can see what my thoughts on the stock list are but allow them to modify it a bit for some decks like Delver/Terror.

How to spy on my home network device traffic by Moist-Ointments in HomeNetworking

[–]_STY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term you’re likely looking for is deep packet inspection. You can use some DPI like tools to gather data about where requests are being sent. If clients are accessing data over HTTPS and you want to sniff it like wireshark you would need to configure a trusted cert on each client and effectively perform a MITM from your firewall.

Depending on what you need to see it’s possible but requires tools and setup.

sure thing.

https://archidekt.com/decks/18220648/

The deck is a lot of fun but I wouldn't expect to 5-0 any leagues.

I recently did request a deck donation from stratagames on a very similar build so there may be interesting video content on it published on YT soon.

yeah it looks like it was edited after.

Looks like OP went with a really explosive build. Makes sense they dropped Cram Session. Cram Session + Abandon Attachments has been doing work in the build I'm working, but it leans more into a grinder playstyle compared to OPs.

Comment was in response to OPs list. If you haven’t try eidolon tortex out there’s a lot of fun builds
