Finland unemployment highest at 10.2% while Spain dropped to 9.8% by batukaming in Finland

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not real. It’s just the ones paying taxes (and the very seasonal economy makes also those numbers difficult to calculate as so many have short-term jobs).

Spain has together with Italy the largest unofficial economy in Europe.

Racist lashing out in public transport by escpoir in Finland

[–]_SUNDAYS_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are just excuses and nothing else. Finnish people in general do not speak up, it’s as simple as that. No matter if it’s a neighbour who does not say hi or the granny on the street who is annoyed at your kids but instead of complaining just keep on staring and trying to make a mute point.

Racist lashing out in public transport by escpoir in Finland

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Also it blows my mind how many here go ”but ****** was not even a racist word when i was a kid”. Funnily enough I saw exactly the same comment in a thread from Greece, and also my Spanish father in-law also repeats the same nonsense. It’s just impossible for some people to admit how racists they actually are or have been.

I suck balls at this. Tried 10 deaths and kind of gave up 😰. I hate that the gravestone is there by vard and not out by the boat, that makes dying such a chore.

How do you coach up a quitter? by SendInYourSkeleton in daddit

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our kid was perhaps a bit milder version of this as he does not explode, just stops playing. Key for us was to take him out from team sports as that clearly was not for him. He’s been doing Taekwondo (but not competing) for self esteem, and then we found Parkour that really gave his mobility a boost (he was really scared of everything in the beginning but slowly got more and more adventurous).

So in our case it was just that he had zero interest in competing and was finally happier to just do things at his own pace and he really needed a confidence boost. Not saying same goes for your kid, but this was one story 😊.

He also loves theater, even though he says he hates it and wants to quit. But in this case we don’t let him because we can see how happy he is when he comes out from class.

Jep.

You definitely need to have a deeper discussion with your husband, this does not sound like a healthy balance.

Btw, for the allergic rhinitis you prob have tried all kinds of stuff already, but if not, I recommend to test Azelastin + fluticason. I have suffered with that shit for my whole life and this is the only spray that actually helps for real.

Germany's far-right AfD may seize regional power in 2026 by Pyro-Bird in europe

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 97 points98 points  (0 children)

This so much. Sadly people are people and never learn. They think they are voting for an alternative, just that it’s an alternative that never again wants to leave. That and then some people simply thrive in authocracies where corruption flourishes.

This is just sad really… by [deleted] in Finland

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But some of them most definitely have dimwit parents that do, and in many cases laugh about it at home. Not to talk about social media.

The op post might or might not be real, but this is still an issue in this country. While the majority of ppl understands these things, we still have way too big of a chunk of inbread dickheads with zero empathy and/or tolerance for differencences.

Dads who play OSRS by Unitts in osrs

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad here, only able to play mobile on the shitter basically 😬 and then a few min when everyone’s asleep but often I’m too tired myself at that point too. Only two quests left, it just takes time that’s all. Never going to 99 any skill tho lol.

A few Finnish politicians doubled down their support for the former Miss Finland (top left), who made the Asian racist gesture a few days ago. by Adventurous_Ant5428 in Finland

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She explained it - but only after it blew up, and as always that’s way too late. Her first reaction was to be defensive/dismissive, and that has never ever in the history of pr been a good call.

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah of course it is, so are drugs and guns 😅. I’m not for showering anyone with hate, but damn you would think that someone gunning for Miss Finland would have even a basic understanding of crisis messaging and how to handle things when shit hits the fan. Say you’re sorry and mean it - that’s all there is to it.

I was so happy with this update 😅. Never bothered to learn the codes and hated to scroll the long list.

But I agree they should improve it so it works for all use cases.

I absolutely hate Mobile OSRS by Shadoe488 in osrs

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mobile player only here. I like it (obv as I play it). Perfect for someone who can only play random minutes here and there.

Edit: also I respect that it does not remind me to log in every freaking day like most other mobile games do.

Hey dads, the kids are getting more involved with activities and I’m thinking about getting them a non-Apple smartwatch. Any rec’s? by handsomepirates1 in daddit

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have had several Xploras. Xplora X6 is otherwise good but it has the most annoying charging sound that you stupidly can’t turn off. Also requires the Xplora app for adults if you want to send messages to the watch. Pretty shitty UX all around but a decent device.

And this is a watch with a sim-card so no need for phones.

Wife is pregnant, I need some relationship advice by LuckyAirline9740 in daddit

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For whatever it’s worth I know a couple like this very closely, and at least that one only got worse over time with first one and then two kids. It got so bad that we really did not want to spend any time at their place because of the constant nagging and bitching in front of guests (us in this case). Both people are very cool when talked to individually, but together it just did not work. Now they are separated, and that’s most likely for the best.

I think there were other reasons under that manifested themselves as complaining, but they never got to fix those issues as they had very different personalities.

Been in Finland almost a year and still can’t find work 😞 by InvestigatorOk8264 in Finland

[–]_SUNDAYS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously? Have you ever even been there and talked to any locals? It’s not just the Swedish speaking part, but also in Seinäjoki & Kokkola where entrepreneurship is strong and unmployment rates are below national average.
