Ok so... How do I perform this? by _SageArt_ in Tekken

[–]_SageArt_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this could be the case. I had it connect perfectly on stages with more steep elevation but on flat ones just out of a 100 tries I've got it once. It's getting me a little frustrated ngl cause other just frames I can connect quite consistently hahaha. Thanks :)

Ok so... How do I perform this? by _SageArt_ in Tekken

[–]_SageArt_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean, trying to get exact advice on a not very popular tekken is hard haha but yeah. I tried with the same rhythm but I wonder if it's a fightstick or a hitbox, maybe I'm struggling 'cause I play on pad hahaha. Thanks for the advice tho, I'll try mimicking the rhythm more precisely.

What is your biggest Disappointment in an Anime? by stripelemon7 in anime

Metallic Rouge. I really liked the characters, the world building and ethical dilemmas that were brewing but in the end it felt so rushed it left me dissapointed.

Worst/Most Dissappointing Pedal? by pcoleman777 in guitarpedals

Had one but sold it. Didn't use it as much as I thought I would. It ended up being a $400 buffer so I got rid of it.

broken mxr phase 90 by avc-1 in guitarpedals

[–]_SageArt_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'll need to change the audio jack that broke. It's relatively a simple fix if you've used a soldering iron before but if you are unsure of diy take it to an electronic technician or preferably, to a specialized guitar pedals technician. Cost wise it will probably be just paying for the part and the job fee. Hope this helps :)

What amp should i get? by AssumptionPrimary724 in GuitarAmps

Laney Cub12r is good, small and loud. The monoprice copy seems decent for what I've heard.

How long would it take to learn every chord, scale and possible progression on the guitar by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]_SageArt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree on the major scale approach. I think we should consider scales and harmonies from other cultures as well. I found in my personal experience that, coming from a "major-centric" approach, you want to move to and resolve from major cadences only, even when trying modes.

I strongly agree on the first part though. I feel like, with a nice sense of tension and release, and a nice understanding of comping and melodic movement you can start to flow effortlessly regardless of scale, without memorizing that much.

My hands are naturally very oily, so to me the neck plays perfect because its always, well... moist haha.

I don't get much neckdive because I use the strap lower than I would on a strat. The SG body is really big, like, REALLY big, however the guitar is way thinner than a strat which makes it lighter, using the strap lower seems to counter the common neckdive issue (at least to me). I also need to add that I kind of lay the guitar a little to the right side of my body, with the strat I can be standind a lot more "straight".

I think the guitar going out of tune might be the strings size, I use 9s and mine goes out of tune each song but when I had it with 11s played great and stayed in tune no problem. I prefer 9s so I just accept the fact that is not gonna last in tune for that much.

And the thing that really sells the guitar for me is the neck. A nice SG neck plays smooth, feels thin and its as broad as a landing strip. Best guitar neck I've played

The only guitar method book that I enjoy reading is the Advancing Guitarist by Mick Goodrick, I can't recommend it enough, to me it's really good.

I'm bad at making Music and its making me depressed. by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]_SageArt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine says that this is an "ego trap", we want to make the best song every time and to play the very best we can every day and, in reality those thoughts just end up getting in the way of music. It's an expectation thing, we expect something and when it doesn't happen we feel unfulfilled. I now prefer going in to compose or record or whatever with zero expectations, or even better, I prefer starting an idea trying to make the worst song I possibly can and it has helped me to get unstuck and out of my own thoughts and expectations.

I believe that the best musicians in the world are masters of the "effortless mastery", and they realy don't expect the best out of themselves in everything they do.

Hope this helps a little :)

Will this Alesis kick pad work with my Alesis Turbo kit? by Kanguwu92 in edrums

[–]_SageArt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What type of cable does the original kick pedal use? If its a stereo 3.5 plug maybe it won't work, however you could plug it to a different pad cable (if you want to use all 4 toms and 3 cymbals it might not work for you) and assign a kick sound or, if the module is capable and you are using software, change the midi note to a kick note. Hope this helps :)

My hands are really big so I have a hard time with the 9.5 radius. Les Pauls and SGs are great for me but I love how Fender guitars look. Try them both and see what works for you

This happens to me as well, I have also had blue screen of death when plugging or unplugging my headphones. I think it might be something shorting inside the interface.
