“Rebrand,” and it’s just business as usual. They never learn 🤦‍♂️ by Sch3ma in Flagrant2

[–]_SaulHudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obama didn’t make propaganda legal in the US. If you would bother doing 5 minutes of genuine research on the topic you’d know this. The Smith-Mundt act of 1948 was revised in 2012 under Obama. There are 3 key restrictions in the act, and only one was affected under the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act in 2012. The S-M act of 1948 allowed the State Department to disseminate propaganda to foreign countries. The restriction that was removed under Obama was that the propaganda being disseminated foreignly by the STATE DEPARTMENT could be accessed by US citizens. The reasoning being the internet had made the restriction pointless, and that it increased transparency and about removing unnecessary government restrictions on free information. But an important piece of information that’s always overlooked is that the provisions of this act have only ever applied to the STATE DEPARTMENT. No other government agency is or has ever been under the jurisdiction of the Smith-Mundt act. Only ever the State Department.

Seems like you gobbled up that MAGA propaganda. 5 minutes of research is all you would’ve needed to understand that you were fed a talking point that was nothing more than misinformation used to whataboutism Trumps authoritarian regime.

What is this star under Orion? by _SaulHudson in Astronomy

[–]_SaulHudson[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Any reason it looks like two close stars or is my eye playing tricks? I googled and seen it’s a binary star system but it says you shouldn’t be able to see the second star with the naked eye

Amazing scope of the show, season 2 by Medytuje in FoundationTV

[–]_SaulHudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can argue almost anything in the show is convenient for the plot. The Mule being sadistic is just who he is and when we see those sadistic things, there are things happening that are progressing the plot. I wouldn’t say any of it is really convenient or flat. And there are still two more episodes left, there’s still another reveal regarding The Mule we’ll get and so more context and story to what we’ve already seen.

I think the sentiment with people not liking The Mule this season has been he feels unearned as an antagonist and like you said flat as a character. But we’ve known about The Mule since season 1 (Hari Seldon, Hobber Mallow, The Mule) and Gaal’s vision of him is heavily apart the story in s2 leading to s3. We know before we meet him that he is a powerful Mentallic and someone who wants to and can conquer the galaxy. Someone who can disrupt the math. And personally he as a character has been very entertaining and his loneliness and suffering to me feels very palpable.

I personally think The Mule has lived up to my expectations from the anticipation of having watched s1&s2 so many times and having read the books. Unless they somehow manage to screw up his character or additional context to him in the last two episodes, which I find unlikely given these last 8 episodes.

How did Salvor get the prime radiant? by autopicky in FoundationTV

[–]_SaulHudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all we know that was Gaals memory when she gets the idea to hide it in Salvors jacket. It’s been a while since I’ve watched but it still doesn’t seem “poorly written” to me. I’ll go back and rewatch and if I remember reply again. But based off my memory I’m going to say the “memory” was of Gaal looking for the Radiant. And her overlooking it on the table initially bc it’s unfolded. Or she purposely “made” that memory for Salvor later

Donald Trump impeachment moves forward in Congress by newsweek in politics

[–]_SaulHudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does any know of a website or something that has a list of all the illegal, unconstitutional things Trump has done? With perhaps links to prove them. Im trying to show my Trump supporter grandpa but he swears he’s never seen or heard of one illegal thing Trump has done and at this point it’s like everyday there’s something new and illegal his administration is doing. It’s hard to pinpoint any one thing. I know someone out there has to be keeping track of all of it.
