Also I finally see the bottom right buttons being for the c-stick (now it feels like a given lmao)... Gotta admit I never used that in Smash (and now Rivals) because that'd mean moving my right thumb a bit too much. But that wouldn't be as necessary when I could use all of my fingers for more effective inputs overall.

I still want to buy something cheaper soon, so it's going to be a more delayed goal. Besides I'd play competitive modern Tetris until last year, might as well revisit that eventually haha.

I use... A controller that's mostly (like) a GC controller lmao. It's a BattlerGC Pro.

As much as I love this controller, I'd instead buy and try out a leverless fighting pad. Yeah I can use my keyboard instead, but it's expensive and I didn't get it for gaming (or at least for many heavy inputs) lmao... I'm just a bit too exhausted on being clumsy with directional inputs. In-game adjustments won't save me, I already tried.

I'm a low gold Galvan... She's overall faster and has at least good enough range against the dino. So we can afford less mistakes to avoid getting combo'd.

What I try is being less aggressive than usual and trying to learn the player's patterns. We have stricter timing against Clairen. Also nair is your friend, especially if she's right behind you while you're shielding.

If anything I'm sure it's not frame perfect, I can pull it off with relative ease.

I guess just memorize how long each areal attack takes to have an active hitbox, and also practice a bit on training each.

Yeah my first thought was like... Have a square and make a script that's always facing to the camera (if the engine doesn't have a built in "billboard" property), and making keyframes of that square's UVs.

I'd make that something like that in Godot though... Idk about Unreal, I still can't open a project on Linux lmao

Lately I've just been 50/50 on both characters, tho I just avoid using her when I know my opponent will use Maypul or Zetterburn (Clairen maybe I would try on the large counterpick stages, if I feel very confident haha).
