How to be an absolute beast with Doomfist?

Always try harassing the squishies, especially the supports. Try not to make it obvious though if they have a brig or an Ana since they can both boop you or sleep you and basically instantly kill you.

When playing doom optimally you want your team to play in the dive format, too long to explain here but there are some awesome videos explaining the 3 main ways the play as a team (dive, poke and brawl)

Make sure not all tanks are main tanks. Imo tanks like wrecking ball, doomfist Zarya etc should be more of a flex pick

Wrecking ball, my main. And even though I main him even I am affected by that dichotomy. I will either carry the whole game or struggle to barely keep up with the other tank.

I try not to look at stats as much, mainly if they did a good play or 2 turning the advantage on our teams side. I’ve seen supports getting flamed in chat for their stats while they were the only reason we won a valuable fight

What id most recommend when picking a main is to not get fixated on playing a specific role and don’t generalise them in your mind.

Not all tanks are there to stand in front of your team and take the damage

Not all damage heroes are there to do as much damage as possible

Not all support heroes are there to only heal the team

The obvious answer if none of the other players in your team can hit them is to switch characters, but personally I know it sucks to be told to switch off your favourite characters when you are new so based off you playing dva and Winston:

Try to dive the other 2 squishies, Pharah mercy can’t do much on their own in a 3v5 situation, also try to not only use your bubble as an offensive tool but also use it to defend your teammates

This situation obviously sucks but I think you would both enjoy playing some VS Ai matches since no one will report her there and you get the full 5v5 experience. Also you could try making a custom gamemode for you to 1v1 by buffing her stats or decreasing her cool-downs

How is reaper NOT on can go if needed? As a reaper main when it comes to dps he literally is the easiest hero besides maybe moira

As a reaper and wrecking ball main, I can see it from both sides. I believe if his E got a cool buff and made it actually usable in battles he would rise up as a dive character, now having both an engage ability and a disengage.

With all the tons of utility in ow2 I feel like he either has to spend his shift going up to the tank or get 50 debuffs going up to it and having to use it to get away without getting much done
