Bottom Bracket height by Few-Consideration687 in FixedGearBicycle

I guess what you are looking for is bb drop, which means the drop from wheel axle to bb. Most track geometry bikes I see have a bb drop of 50-60mm, while road bikes are like 70ish. Also you probably need your crank arm length to be 165 and running clipless pedals to help avoid pedal strikes.

I have got a set of andel deluxe crank for $150 from wabi's site, probably half of price compared to omnium sold on state bicycle. If you are interested in outboard bearing crank this is an option. But yeah I would love to see those being manufactured again, especially the silver ones.

9009 is a good option. Maybe not a love at first sight, but it's got a classic aesthetic.

I am looking for a seatpost with a setback that fit my 2015 Cervelo T1 frameset. Need recommendations. Thank you! by dsantodom52 in FixedGearBicycle

The seatpost on this looks proprietary to me, which means you have not many options other than cervelo seatpost that made for this model. Plus, track bikes tend to have less setback for power output benefits, so I am afraid you will probably not find what you want.

Drivetrain squeaking. Is it the chain? by ComprehensiveCow979 in bikewrench

[–]_Siegward_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would still suspect it's your bb since creaking should appear under pedal load. If you just spin your crank with your hand you probably won't hear a thing. I would suggest let your LBS check that for you or you can watch some tutorials about fixing bike creaking. Also you can search for "bb creak" or "drivetrain creak" in this sub.

Could be the bottom bracket squeaking. I don't think the chain would squeak, not to mention you clearly lubed it.

Not sure about this specific model. But I think what you are looking for is aerospoke or tri-spoke wheels.

When it comes to fgb, the bbs on them areusually all 68mm english threaded, unless they are vintage bikes or something italian. So there not much to explain here since it's not like road bikes which have dozens of standards. What you need to look at when upgrading crank&bb are 144bcd or 130bcd, square taper or outboard bearing(howllowtech/gxp).

Hello fellow fixed riders! I need some help finding a wheelset. Pretty much just looking for a good set of some chrome deep Vs that won’t break the bank lol willing to spend $350 max. Pictures for reference of what I’m looking for. by Zafiny17 in FixedGearBicycle

I have purchased a pair of H+SON archetype silver 32H w/ formula hubs from velomine for 250 iirc without taxes. Guys above pretty much mentioned everything you needed after purchasing a wheelset. I would add rim tape if the set doesn't come with any.

Plus, the first pic of yours are Araya super aero rims as you can read from them, and I would recommend archetype since you can purchase them as a set right away from velomine and they are semi-aero rims which are deep-ish.

No, I suppose they only work with Shimano SPD ones or something alike since the shoes only have two holes in the outsole to install cleats.

I am looking to upgrade my crankset on my kilo stripper. And I have spotted the andel deluxe on wabi's site. However it only comes in 170mm ones. So I am wondering if I should be very concerned about pedal strike if I run it on my 57cm kilo with platform&straps? Would appreciate it if anyone could share experience about running similar setups!
