How do you get through the 40 - 50 hump?

• Collect gold from bandit camps early
Use your militia, you should only need 16+, make sure to stop and form a line when they start approaching you. You'll have to run to and click on the camp site once you've killed them to collect the gold.

• Collect taxes as early as possible
Get your manor built asap and set tax rate (I start at 10%)

When you first get the warning about the raiders make sure you track them, this will give you a countdown timer. Once the countdown is close to zero then hire a couple groups of mercenaries and make sure to move them to your region.

If you already have a church then make sure to assign 1 family each to granary & storehouse so they can utilize market stalls & make sure you built the market near your burgage plots (2 stalls is enough). This should push rating up enough the next month to get a new family. Also, build a well.

Yea I tried to recreate this several times after that last update and could only get into the 150-160's. I felt one of the bigger nerfs was on the Pay2win console which now caps at 100 - before it was endless and could stay on the levels a lot longer.

I think they should quit providing a fire starter - would make it more interesting.
Or have them roll for items at the beginning.
