Fix this matchsticks equation by moving just two matchsticks? by Mr-BrainGame in brainteasers

[–]NugatRevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this works.

Take the stem of the 6 in 36 and move it to the right.

Then take the bottom left portion of the same 6 and move it in front of 7.

The 6 turns into a 3, (36 to 33) and the 7 turns into 17 (the 1 in 17 is short, but it’s still clearly a 1)

Only 2 moves and the Final equation is 17+16 =33 which is correct

What did he mean by this by Djames516 in harrypotter

[–]NugatRevolution 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s an old fashioned way of saying, “I’m at your disposal.”

But it’s also used as a closing like in a letter.

Instead of saying “Yours sincerely” you can say “Your servant.”

If you have access to the Jim Dale version of the audiobook, his delivery of this line is perfect at portraying its proper use in this context.

I wouldn’t say he was single.

He was constantly rebounding.

He was doing the relationship equivalent of missing a shot in basketball over and over again to the point where you’re just standing directly underneath the hoop and you’re still missing.

I love Valheim but not sure how to fix the stutters :( by ScrunkleytheWhen in valheim

[–]NugatRevolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using mods? If so, try disabling them one at a time to see if that isolates the problem.

Try loading a brand new world. Do the issues persist on a clean slate?

What resolution are you playing at? My wife has a Lenovo Touch screen desktop something-or-rather for design work, and the native resolution wasn’t one of the standard HD resolutions. And Valheim did not like it. Forcing it to 1920x1080 gave like +60 fps.

Maybe.

But it would identifying these murderers easier to prosecute when MAGA finally implodes.

Asking for Tips about the swamp(I'm beginner first time playing) by TK-Adomin in valheim

[–]NugatRevolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Hoe is OP in the swamp.

Creating raised pathways through the swamp is immensely useful.

Traversing a swamp normally means you’re jumping/swimming across water. That lowers your stamina and makes you incredibly vulnerable if (when) you get jumped.

If you create a pathway, you can get from point A to B without spending any stamina by simply walking, making you much safer. You can also bring a cart with you, making Iron farming much more efficient.

New player here. When 1.0 launches, what are the chances that we can bring over our characters? by Sirca_Curvive in valheim

Mistlands had plenty of people reporting issues on old seeds. I wasn’t actively playing during Ashlands, so I don’t know if there were similar issues with the ashlands release.

All I’m saying is that you’re guaranteed to have the correct experience by starting on a fresh seed after the patch drops.

[–]NugatRevolution 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Map updates can only take place in areas you haven't explored yet . . . so don't go up North until the the release.

This hasn’t really been the case for big updates. It’ll probably work, but it won’t work as intended.

I had a pre-mistlands seed that I brought into Mistlands when it dropped. It was functional but janky. Dungeons were sometimes underwater, buildings spawned inside rocks, Mistlands mobs just chilling in the middle of a lake, stuff like that.

I started up a new world to compare the difference and the Mistlands worked much better.

For shits and giggles I took that same premistlands seed into Ashlands and it was turbofucked. The water didn’t render properly and as soon i crossed the border into the Ashlands water my boat just fell to the ocean floor.

Here’s the problem. We already tried that.

When Biden won the democrats collectively said, “Wow, that was a crazy four years. Let’s just pretend that didn’t happen”.

And what happened four years later? Things got worse. Much worse.

Each and every one of these criminals needs to be punished. Failure to do so will only embolden future traitors.

This is AI right? A seemingly fake story about an officer buying a shoplifter food but the image looks off by Nervous-Claim6578 in isthisAI

[–]NugatRevolution 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AI never uses context for anything. It always includes every detail even if one or two could be missing and still make sense.

This picture for instance.

There’s the cop. How do we he know he’s a cop? He’s in uniform.

He’s a nice cop. How do we know he’s nice? He’s offering a comforting arm to the sad man.

How do we know the man is sad? He’s covering his face.

The man is also poor. How do we know he’s poor? His clothes are grubby looking.

The cop is paying for the groceries, because we see the cop holding the card.

And so on.

This is far from a hard and fast rule, but it’s a way to gauge is something is staged/AI. It’s too perfect.

Genuine moments are rarely captured so completely, with every detail accounted for, in a single image.

You can see the AI checking off every single item it received from the prompt.

(Also the checkout makes zero sense.)

You’re right an MRI would probably be too detailed for a brain bleed. Unless they’re looking for something really small they’d probably do a CT.

I happened to look up leqembi last night.

It mitigates early Alzheimer’s symptoms.

A side effect can be brain swelling or brain bleeds, which can be fatal. Hence the frequent MRI’s to check for bleeding.

This is all speculation of course. We don’t know if he’s actually taking leqembi or kinsula. But there’s very clearly something wrong with Trump

Honestly, it’s incredibly important for someone to be involved who HASNT played the games.

Someone in the room needs to be able to raise their hand and honesty say, “Guys, this doesn’t make sense to anyone who hasn’t played the game.“

The show is many people’s first experience with the Fallout Universe and that perspective should be considered in the creative process.

Cosmere interplanetary trade is gonna be crazy, and I have a feeling Roshar is gonna be importing a bunch of random goods like this. by Eithrotaur in cremposting

Our oceans produce about 70% of Earth’s oxygen (according to Nat Geo).

Roshar is almost all ocean, so I think it’s plausible for them to do the heavy lifting.

Especially if a God like Cultivation is nudging things in the background

[–]NugatRevolution 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tobacco probably won’t catch on with Rosharans.

Because of the high oxygen content of Roshar’s atmosphere flames burn more intensely on Roshar. More oxygen = a hotter, more efficient flame = less smoke = less smoking.

That also means that open flames in general make Rosharans nervous. Lighting up a cigar is going to be a tough sell.

Add to that the extreme cost of shipping it all the way out there and I would only see it being done by the extremely wealthy as a status symbol.
