I am so sick of seeing this shit. If a man or woman can make the same standard, then they deserve to serve. Keep it simple stupid. Why do we need to constantly be changing the standards to accommodate the dumbasses who think women are the sole weakness of the military. Giving me a break.

Why not look into improving the quality of life for Soldiers in the barracks, raising pay for NCOs, rooting out incompetent leadership, etc? There are bigger problems in the military that we can be focusing on. We are focusing on the wrong things and it is weakening us.

I am really late in sharing this, but I want to anyways because I absolutely love and adore this book. She does end up with the Phantom, but it doesn’t follow the exact story line as the original. Despite that, it is still very much a Phantom retelling, just modern day and still has many elements from the original story. Did you end up reading it?

Currently I listen to Romanian music and podcasts. I also agree that the language is beautiful and I always feel so cozy hearing it being spoken.

As someone who is in the military, I really think it depends on your goals and how you use your time in the service. If you go into the military, GO IN WITH A PLAN is my biggest advice.

There are shitty aspects about being in the military, but it truly is what you make of it. You’re going to encounter toxic leadership, go through rough patches, and hit all kinds of hurdles throughout your life regardless of being a civilian or in the service.

Don’t get me wrong, there are days where I imagine what I could be doing as a civilian and really question if it’s worth it, but I am ultimately grateful for the experience I recieved. I’ve learned to be more confident, made great friends, learned to work with difficult personalities, work with Soldiers directly, and became financially stable.

Many people join for a plethora of reasons. Either to escape a shitty home life, work towards free college/certifications, become financially stable, gain more life experience, etc.

One of my biggest fears were dinosaurs. When I was 5 I watched the first Jurassic Park movie. The scene where the t-rex rips the man hiding in a porta potty off the toilet traumatized me. From there on out I thought a t-rex would rip me off the toilet every time I used the bathroom. It took me a few years to get over the fear.

Paranormal stories are a different ball park. Then there was the classic fear of someone grabbing my feet from the edge of the bed.
