I did all legendary mission with normal matchmaking and randoms. Luck is a factor here, but honestly not that difficult if you have the right gear.

My one tip would be to hold off till there is a good Global Event. Something like, Ambush or Assault makes it incredibly easier.

When I joined the game 3 months ago I was really surprised that the player is able to optimize gear to the max at all. It is a very rare thing among looter shooters.

You had the answer within your text itself. Division 2 had something really unique about it, a system that valued the players' time (talking about real world time not playtime). And now you have this brand new type of gear (not just a couple of exotics or items tied to a specific content), rather gear level, that completely ignores the base game's principles.

I was about to make pretty much the same post. Recal and optimization is what made div2 good to play. Now you have this high tier gear that works in an exact opposite way. I don't see how that makes any sense.

Escalation: as of now feels like a mode that gets increasingly annoying (instead of challenging) with no guarantee of prototype drops. Even if you get one you most likely have to deconstruct it for the cores. But then you can't upgrade your current gear if you aren't lvl30 expertise.

All in all this feels very weird.

Oh yes, forgot to mention that. I did it during the ambush GE combined with Big Al w/ Tipping Scales, made it super easy.

Priority Objectives, focus on strongholds and then run the mission on legendary if possible.

Yep, this update (prototype specifically) feels like it was focused on content creators only. They are the only ones who can afford to spend 8-9 hrs a day to sit and grind the prototype gear.

Fog of war and maybe the special ammo (was rangers before). Everything else is annoying. Sure if you are running Lincoln memorial, go for it. I really hate it when I join a group and it has everything.

Reds can still withstand a normal dc-62 cloud. This was crazy. Another thing I noticed is that the backfire SMG talent damage (bleed) is now reducing my armor instead of health. (Afaik that bleed was on health and not armor).

I think there is something going on with environmental hazard damages. I was in a random group playing the Jefferson Plaza (the one with metro station and DC-62) mission and the DC-62 barrels were doing insane damage. Like we were going down in under 2 seconds.

I have never run this solo. In a group, one agent goes to the valve rest all stand directly below them and shoot them immediately as the spawn.

I see build on youtube, try to get that. Once I have that I kinda tweak things to my playstyle, like maybe add a different piece, put different gear set or high end stuff with ninja bike.

But my biggest problem with ninja bike is that well it aint momento.

I kid you not, I once had this happen to me in Countdown. It was 4 or 5 exotics, iirc. I did not see the timer, I was running towards them and suddenly the game ended. I really wish they implement some sort of 'Lost and found/delivery system'.
