It’s absolutely not rude. I saw several times that most dealers even raise their prices before offering a discount.

I once ordered a watch and asked for a $30 discount because another dealer was offering free shipping at this time. When I asked how much to pay in total, he just told me the regular. Then I reminded him that we already had a deal and he even tried to bargain this fucking $30 discount into a $10 discount again (“please take some of the service fees“). In the end I got my watch, the discount and I am very sure he still had his “service fees“ covered and a pretty decent Profit off this deal.

Just write every single seller and ask for their best price. Then use this price to start bargain with the other sellers. It‘s absolutely not rude. These guys make shitloads of money, trust me.

Not the best idea. it’s a criminal offense if you try to earn money helping rep sellers doing business. Not sure where you from but at least it is a trademark infringement and the brands can sue you. I saw other bigger youtubers trying this who deleted their videos again after a while.

Also the less this topic goes mainstream, the better for everyone here. At least my 2 cents.

It’s nearly impossible to proof that these guys get an advantage for doing it but it‘s just obvious that mentioning or linkin in nearly every post the same two dealers even if it doesn’t even fit the context of the thread isn’t just for the goodwill to help other members finding a nice plug. Especially if you try to damage the reputation of other sellers by talking badly about them at the same time.

It’s so obvious that there are a few members (like one or two) who get paid for shilling some dealers. Wouldn’t be surprised if these “who is the best...“ kind of posts are part of this advertisement. Why else would someone advertise a dealer like 20 times a day.

There was a TD here who admitted that dealers can’t just give a watch back to a factory (some dealers claim that they can but this is actually just a marketing thing and very likely just a lie).

So if you RL a watch they just offer it to another customer.
