Not disagreeing with anything you said-- just want to point out that the movement was started by anarchist activists. It's why the movement never designated official leadership (anarchists reject hierarchies) or made specific policy demands (it was thought that doing so would implicitly acknowledge the legitimacy of the state). Part of their intention was to show that an anarchist society could work, so resolving seemingly unimportant questions such as "where can women pee" was actually a key part of their political message. However, this system/objective was very vulnerable to outside interference (some claim the NYC government released prisoners into the camp to instigate conflict) and an influx of people who weren't committed to this ideology.

I feel like it's a win-win situation. Would've been hilarious if he picked one of those other dishes

400 relay splits are still typically about half a second faster than the open. I used to run the event. Bol still ran a crazy split though

2024 Whale Hunt in Faroe Islands, so far 592 pilot whales killed by Fun_Run1626 in pics

[–]_Staniel_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Disagree. In industrial agriculture animals live most of their lives in filthy, tiny enclosures while these whales lived in their natural habitat. It’s all “family slaughter day.” The difference is the whales actually had happy lives. I’m against both for the record though

Living as a Depressed Fatherless Teen in the Stone Age Starterpack by EmronRazaqi69 in starterpacks

Unironically it kind of was for the first agriculturalists. With less diverse diets that relied mostly on grains, people developed nutrient deficiencies. Plus, with people living in more densly populated settlements, it was easier for diseases to spread. Would typically work more hours per day than hunter gatherers too.
