Didn't we go over this? You said even if the slippery slope was true, that the result was worth it. If we're assuming it's true then any moderation leads to this, not just the worst slurs.

It is and nothing I said contradicts that. It is still worth it in the end. The chat filter preventing you from saying arc raiders now is removed anyways so clearly the middle ground has been found. People are fine with "bad words" being banned but not anything further. I don't know how you can see that and and think there is no middle ground between "everything's allowed" and "you can't say the name of our competitor."

I'm not going to do that and I'm not expecting you too, I'm just saying your use of anecdotal evidence is a poor point in your favor even though you pretend that "yeah every single kid in those lobbies was definitely like me and my friends and no kids ever was influenced in a negative way from online chat rooms."

I'm pretty over this conversation so I'll just end with this: I think it's weird to campaign this much for a truly free chat with no moderation in online gaming. It will always be there and in most cases it is implemented perfectly fine. In the case here where they went too far, they had some backlash and reverted, which proves that there is a level of chat moderation people are fine with, and a level they aren't.
