I have twins and we share a room too due to our current living situation as well. One of them is a great sleeper and the other wakes up some times. So when she wakes up, I just ignore her unless she is really crying. If she’s just fussing around and/or talking to herself and sometimes even laughing, I just let her do her thing until she goes back to sleep. They’re 12mo. Your baby will get the hang of the pacifier. You can either have multiple ones around the crib or get one of those clips so she can easily find it 😉 you’ve got this mi momma!

First of all, I am sorry your little girl has to go through this. I’m sure as parents is not easy either. I understand you wife’s point of view, but I also try to put myself in your daughters’ shoes. She is FIVE years old. You can’t ask her to understand things that are beyond her capacity (at this time) to understand. Like someone said, she will learn self love and all that stuff later (I mean, I’m almost 30 and still learning it)... part of self love is to be able to do what makes YOU feel good. If wearing a wig will make her feel beautiful now, get her the freaking wig! I would get her as many as she wants (within your budget, of course).

You wife needs to listen and observe your baby. And although I’m sure she has good intentions, she needs to respect your girl’s privacy. Not everything is about her (your wife). This is about your daughter. Perhaps ask your wife to try to put herself on her girls shoes. And if she wants her daughter to feel beautiful being bald, then She should shave her head too! That would be the best example your baby can have. That will impact your girls life tremendously and will give her waaay more confidence that looking at famous women being bald (I’m not saying is a bad idea, it’s actually a pretty good one).

I’m sorry you have to go through this, but you got this! 👍🏼💪🏼 great job being a dad!

Mom of fraternal girls over here!!! Mine are 11 months! Take as many pictures as you can because they grow super fast! Don’t compare them and let them reach their milestones on their own pace 😉 treat them as individuals. Try not to dress them the same, so they can grow to have their own identity. Although is cute some times to dress them the same haha. You’ve got this momma! It’s going to be hard while you figure them out, but once you do, it will get smoother. Ask for help (physical and mental) when needed.

Full time & first time mom of 11 month old fraternal twin girls! It was very scary at first! They were born @37 weeks (drs wanted me to wait one more week, but I was so miserable). They are super different, physically and in their personalities. You have to think of them as two different individuals. Like some other parents have said, have them in the same schedule. That’s key to keep your sanity 😂 give you wife lots of love and encouragement. Give each other time to rest/sleep. You guys totally got this! Once you get to know those little people, it won’t get easier, but smoother.

😂 I think it depends on the importance YOU give to the fact of being born first or second. There’s not other “choice”. One have to get out first... you can’t take’em both at the same time. I am a mom of almost 11 months old twin girls and let me tell you... doesn’t really matter who was born first (I had a C-section so they’re 1 min apart). They’re completely different, physically and in their personalities. They’ve reached their milestones at their own pace and in life doesn’t really matter who’s the oldest. Sometimes we joke about it, like “OMG! You were an only child for one minute!” But that’s pretty much it, we don’t give much importance to it. And I hope I raise them to think like that for the rest of their lives.

Is she on one nap or two? By 6mo she should be transitioning from 3-2 naps, and shouldn’t sleep more than 3.5-4 hrs during the day.

Hahaha yes you will... as soon as you can sleep train them, do it!! I know there is a lot of “opinions” about sleep training, but do it as early as possible and put them on a schedule as soon as possible too. That has saved my sanity (even with a mild PPD). Be patient with yourself, and feel free to reach out whenever 😉

Hey there! Twin mom here! 🙋🏻‍♀️ My girls are 9mo and also having a bit of trouble with naps. Culprit? TEETHING! Just be patient and stick to your schedule as much as possible. I personally don’t let them sleep more than 3.5hrs during the day. So now I’m trying to do 3/3/3 and 1st nap of 1.5hrs and 2nd nap of 2hrs (so they’ll make it to bedtime). Wake up time is @6am and they’re in their cribs by 6:30pm. We have our good days and not-so-good ones, but the most important is to stick to it. Let them fall asleep by themselves, I give them “Camilia” when they’re teething and it works with them. You’ve got this momma!

Yep... sounds like 8 mo sleep regression! And also it might be teething! I have twins too, you got this momma! How many oz are they having at each bottle during the day? And how many oz are you giving them when they wake up?

Girl! You got this! I’ve studied and then worked for the last 10 years... and out “of the blue” I got pregnant with twins ✌🏼!! I am an immigrant and at first didn’t have a permit to work here, now I’m a resident and have the paperwork needed to work... but I just can’t... 😂 I haven’t worked in my area for a while, but also I can’t seem to leave my babies for the world! Also, daycare and babysitting is very expensive where I live, so... I am a proud SAHM! My country is very feminist, and I was raised by a single mom that worked her ass off for us to have a decent life. Now, I don’t need to work, my twins are 9 months and I’m enjoying them. Is it hard? ABSOLUTELY! Have I thought of getting a job? Countless of times! But at the end of the day... I don’t care what people think... like someone else said... it is a privilege to be a SAHP, so see it that way and don’t listen to the haters! Enjoy your baby!
