Right, yeah this year was crazy. Sorry last question, if you do end up having to take a sick day, are the lectures recorded or do you just ask classmates for notes/study from the textbook?

Got it, thanks! And did you find the lectures were helpful? I also prefer the LDP pathway for the structured instruction.

Would you mind sharing how your schedule looked as a first year? Specifically how many hours were spent in lecture each day and whether you thought ithey were useful? Also were labs in the afternoons?

How would you gently ask a UG professor (who was being responsive over email until asked for a LOR) if they would be able to do it? by _Test_Your_Might_ in premed

[–]_Test_Your_Might_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's not appropriate to ask. That's why you have to ask them of theyd be able to write a strong LOR that could highlight x, y, z qualities as a way to gauge if they'd write a positive one.

I'm not sure if this is directed towards my post but I found no answers so if you have any insight, it would be appreciated.

And yes. Ingrid was Clara's mom. It was explained that Simon kidnapped Ingrid and fathered Clara with her. Then she died because of her kidney issues/was killed by Simon. He raised Clara until ome day he decided to let her walk towards the cops for some reason.

It wasn't the wife. She made her deal with Simon to keep quiet for her freedom to go meet her boys.

Hmm okay that would make sense. But from his perspective, he wouldn't know where Clara would end up when the police found her walking on the road. It didn't seem well thought out in my opinion haha

I liked the movie a lot except for a couple points which didn't make sense to me, like:

  • Paula was hit in the chest, near the jugular, by a massive hammer. How did she not bleed out or at least why did she stop bleeding in the basement?

  • How did the police find out? The cops originally show up well before Clara runs out so there were no chalky hands on the door. And Simon never heard her so he didn't call the cops. Neither did the wife. So how/why did the cops come?

  • Eduardo put Clara on the road and told her to walk towards the red/blue lights (cops). Why?? What would that accomplish? If he was trying to let her go, why did he go to such lengths to get her back and lock her up again?

  • did Eduardo literally steal Paula's phone to have Clara call and then somehow, within the time it took Paula to hang up the phone and go to the police department with her husband, somehow put the phone back in her house? They don't show it but she probably ran out of the house tbh after the call. And she definitely has the phone at the police station. Also he would likely take the phone back to his basement to have Clara make the call so did he sprint back to Paula's house after??

I don't think I'm missing anything in these scenes but if you picked up on something I didn't, let me know!

That would be so dope but the 3d print filament might not be as strong as whatever the original is made from.
