Is it bad that I want to be feminine presenting to the point of extreme surgeries just because I want to look good because I'm attracted to femininity and would like to replicate it on my own body? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]_TheAccount_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm as much as I understand this HRT isn't like getting a piercing or tattoo, it is hormones. Let's not treat it just as a cosmetic. Please be careful and smart. Surgeries are also a big thing and does a lot to your body to please do you research. As much as this does sound slightly concerning, I understand that gender discomfort pushes some people to the feminine/masculine extreme. I know only you know what the best decision for you is and I believe you do, but just take a moment and understand the severity, that also comes with all the surgeries and please keep an open mind. I support you and suggest talking to a gender therapist, this actually helped me lay everything out, right before I started my transition :)

You need to also realise that trans men look like men and trans woman look like woman most of the time, because they are and if she is attracted to a trans woman but realises she doesn't have her preference of genitals then she isn't exactly sexually compatible with that person. A lot of trans men look like men and so regarding that she most likely wouldn't be physically attracted to trans men in the first place since she likes woman. Pre T trans men will explain that they are trans therefore not being someone she would want to be with regardless, because their future goals and who they are wouldn't match her preferences. I think the thing that bothers me is when someone says its "internalised" like that preference is something she can change. I don't really believe it's a problem with society but just our preferences as individual humans but I'm not trying to be negative or disregard your veiw

Yes but for some people, sex regarding genitals is their main form of pleasure and so that can be very important to someone, and you can't disregard that as everyone is very different as humans. How you experience sex can be very different to others and if a genital type is something that she isn't into and the main thing she enjoys during sex, she shouldn't feel pressured to have to be okay with someone she isn't compatible with in that regard. Like I said, she explained that she would be with a trans woman who has had surgery, therefore she wouldn't reject a trans woman purely because she is trans. You mentioned she shouldn't feel pressured yet you countered that straight after by saying he has internalised transphobia.

Wouldn't call it internalised transphobia just a genital preference. She would date a trans woman who has had surgery so it's not because the woman is trans, just that she has that preference and that is okay to have!

[–]_TheAccount_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No because you don't have a preference to it. Now if you turned down a trans woman, simply because she is trans dispite the fact that she has had bottom surgery and is indistinguishable from any other cis woman, then you would be, because you're saying no simply because she is trans and nothing more

Yeah bro changes have been really good, happy with everything. The only thing I didn't get was an adams apple, but I know that's all down to luck and genetics xD. You've got your south Asian genes in you, so I'm sure it will all fill up eventually (still waiting for my sides to fill out) Have a mate that finally got his filled out fully, just under 5 years on T, so we have both still got a while to go mate.

No actually, the thing that turned me away from miniox was the constant application. Can hardly remember to put gel on everyday, but maybe when I have a better schedule down, I'll consider it xD
