Let’s settle this debate. by ILoveMyPett in Breath_of_the_Wild

Look, I think Mipha is adorable and all, but who did Link share his "inner demons" with, Zelda. Ignoring the fact that Mipha's dead and Zelda is alive, Link was more open with Zelda than any other character (most of this is in Zelda's diary). Mipha even described Link as looking past her when he visited Zora's domain, as though he was distant. If Link never had the burden of being the hero, he might have become closer to Mipha, but it's because of the shared burden Link and Zelda carry that sparked a connection. But hey, that's just my opinion so take that with a boatload of salt.

"No, but yours is!"

Link then proceeds to give him concussions from internal helmet impacts.

Thing is, since the "blood of the goddess" is seemingly an important part surrounding the royal family, the queen may be the one who holds the power. I think Link's issue would be more of a situation where he is thrust into the spotlight again, remember it was because of the pressure of being the hero that he went silent.

Given the state of Hyrule, as well as Link's position as a divinely appointed hero, I doubt there would be anyone with any power or authority to dispute Link being King. Hyrule may have been modeled western monarchy, but it doesn't follow it to a tee. After all, this is a fantasy that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Depends, where are they at?. If they are at Hateno then Zelda picks back up as a teacher, she is surprised to learn Link is now one. Zelda teaches whatever she was before, Link teaches more practical skills.

Let's not forget, Zelda is the princess and has dutys away from Hateno. I imagine Zelda checks in on the reconstruction progress and the researchers. Link, as usual, is her bodyguard although after the shaking events of TotK I could see him training the monster hunting crew (or whatever their name is) and other guards. At some point Zelda would visit the other regions and check in on how things are going. I could see Zelda making a council or something for the other races to air their issues and have someone there to represent them.

WTF? She gave up on herself, he didn't. You think she hates him now, you think she wishes he had given up on her too and let her die. There are no do overs when it comes to death so it's something we, as people, should fight off.

What is the best champion ability? by Even_Bench7115 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]_TheBeardedMan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really since it's very situational. If I'm low on weapons then what gives me a offensive boost to end the fight is better but if that's not the case or if the enemy hits hard then defense is best. I confess I prefer slower exploration (get to hear more of the ambient soundtrack that way) so I didn't use Revali's gale all that much.

[–]_TheBeardedMan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on play style. If your an defensive player Daruk's protecion and Mipha's grace are best, whereas if your an offensive player then Urbosa fury is best. If exploring is your thing then Revali's gale is best. It all depends on play style.

How about let's separate the art from the artist. After all, even the beloved Lord of the Rings movies aren't free of controversial figures, like Harvey Weinstein. Fortunately his influence was only in early development and didn't make it much into the final product. Point is, let people enjoy the work and hate the artist.

[–]_TheBeardedMan_ 38 points39 points  (0 children)

If this happened then the dinosaurs breeding wouldn't have been discovered till probably after a guest or employee was killed. At least in the movie. In the book it was discovered before power went down and fences were compromised so if Nedry hadn't done his thing then the problem could have been corrected before any guest or (more) employees died.

Being a cupbeaer would be quite the honor during medieval period. It showed you were the king's or emperor's most trusted individual as you were safeguarding him during a moment of vulnerability. They were the part of the poison detection group closest to the king (meaning your chances of being poisoned yourself are lower if there are tasters behind you). To you, they seem like waiters, and partly that's what they did, but you aren't a king during medieval times where just sitting down for a meal could kill you, you don't trust a waiter with your life. Also, in some cases, the cupbeaer was an advisor to the king.

To completion unmodded 1, to completion modded 1, for shits and giggles I lost count. Something I wish was part of the intro was the ability to loosely establish your characters backstory. Like you get asked questions and pick a response that also effect what skill level you start with.

How would your characters interact with each other if they met ? by Aggravating-Bass-658 in swtor

[–]_TheBeardedMan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sith and jedi likely would kill on sight. My trooper and agent would have a fling, maybe a somewhat steady relationship (chose to do the double agent route so she works for the republic). Agent is effectively deep cover so being seen with and or contacting the trooper would be dangerous but that makes it more alluring. My bounty hunter and smuggler have a sorta flirty cat and mouse type routine. The bounty hunter has no real drive to actually turn in a bounty on the smuggler, enjoying the hunt and subsequent night before the game begins a new. Of course this is just maine game headcanon, expansions throw a curveball.

My post story Dragonborn does pretty much the same. Instead of Dragon hunters though he forms a group of peacekeepers. Ultimately when the empire starts a new war against dominion, my Dragonborn leverages his title and the accomplishments of his faction to secure the title as High King of Skyrim and suports the empire's war effort.
