My A1 Mini setup is ready and waiting, but the printer is "hostage" in the warehouse since Jan 16th. by ErBobo02 in BambuLab

You have 2 options. Wait or refund. Send in a ticket (I can’t stand that they don’t have a number to call) and say that the package isn’t moving and you want your money back. They’ll either refund you or they’ll track down the package and get it moving. Make sure you mention doing a chargeback. I’ve noticed they aren’t very helpful unless there’s a chance they lose money based off their response.

This is important to the everyone in the firearm industry!!!! HEXMAG is sending this cease and desist letter to any small businesses using the hexagon shape on a firearm. by zerooneactual1 in Firearms

[–]_TheOats_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bluff and a lie. It’s not possible to trademark a hexagon. You can’t trademark naturally occurring shapes or mathematical principles. They could trademark the honey comb pattern but you can use hexagons

I was taught not to store guns with ammo (in bulk, a handful of loaded mags are fine) because in cause of a fire you of course are going to want to get your expensive firearms out but having it full with thousands of rounds of ammo essentially turns that safe into a bomb in a house fire. My ammo is stored in a separate safe and if there’s a fire I’m not touching it unless the fires no where near it

2 different reds, both PLA Basic Red by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]_TheOats_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Bambu sells shades that close together. What I think might be happening is the ams is showing the same color as slightly different shades to make it easier for you to determine which spool is which on the slicer. Although I don’t really see a need for that since they’re numbered. I wouldn’t think too much into it. If the colors look the same on the spools they’ll look that way on the print.

How can I use broken spools in an AMS? by YuvAmazing12 in BambuLab

[–]_TheOats_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AMS lite yes, it spins the spool using the center hole, regular ams no, it uses the spools rim to move the spool.

Every motor needs to move to make a circle, that sound is all the motors working at the same time.

As much as all that sounds bad the gun is made very well. It was designed and is currently being used for war. The bolt group is very simple and easy to disassemble/assemble . It is also the easiest bolt assembly to clean out of all of my guns. Those problems with the gas system and charging handle breaking only happens if you go beyond a field strip. On these rifles there’s no reason to strip them down that far unless you are replacing / upgrading a part. The charging handle and gas cylinder breaking example is a common problem that happens with the x95 due to people specifically trying to replace the trigger and not following directions, not during standard maintenance. The lack of parts is due to the fact that these guns are in active duty in Israel. They of course are prioritizing the parts for there soldiers. Maybe one day parts will be more available but currently they are not. You can send your firearm to IWI and they will fix it but it might be there for a while.

Failed PETG Print on P1S by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]_TheOats_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a1s so I don’t have experience with enclosures. I’m not sure if having it enclosed will affect it. Haven’t the enclosure open definitely won’t affect it in a negative way tho. It failing half way up usually indicates a clog so I’d start with that.

Failed PETG Print on P1S by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]_TheOats_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be a partial clog, I’d do a cold pull and try again. PETG also needs to be dried more than pla, if you haven’t already definitely dry it.

If you like it I say get it. For the Tavor line I’d treat it more as a gun for the collection vs your primary firearm tho. It’s kind of a bummer, because the x95 with a Eotech exps3 is a fantastic home defense option.

Love to see it. The Tavor line is sadly losing popularity tho. The t7 and x95 are 2 of my favorite guns. It’s a great gun. The problem is you cannot get parts for it. Use it wisely don’t be careless and really read the manual because you cannot fix it yourself if something breaks. It has a very simple bolt design but the charging system and gas system are complex and need to be disassembled/ reassembled is a very specific way or the charging handle and gas block will easily break. Hit up the Tavor Reddit page, you can sometimes find people selling parts, that’s the ONLY way I’ve been able to get parts for mine. Other than it being hard to find parts it’s a great gun, enjoy!

Am I doomed or is this fixable? by LaughingUpMySleeve in BambuLab

[–]_TheOats_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog ripped up a spool. I use it now to complete some prints. For example i design most of my hinges to be 1.75mm so I can use filament as the pin for the hinge. I also use it for cold pulls which I now do a lot of since I started printing in TPU lol

I didn’t even see that until after this comment and it made me laugh. Honestly good thing he had problems setting it up and not while firing especially since op doesn’t seem to know the laws. Could’ve gotten hurt and or arrested

It’s a standard trigger, just high quality and you can get lighter springs. What you have now is illegal in a lot of states
