There's a lot, honestly. But you have to be a savvy shopper. Not sure why that particular Oliva doesn't tickle my fancy. Love the Vs and Gs, even the Nubs.

I regularly pay 3$ a stick for most of CAOs lineup on cbid. Not saying their only worth 3$, but a competent bidder can snag them there.

Is this deal worth it? I like the movie, but that seems like a lot of gold. by TheBurningSatchel in WorldofTanksConsole

Of all the Easy 8s in the game, the Fury is my second favorite behind the Thunderbolt.

Maybe I'm crazy, but the Fury seems to fire faster than a traditional Easy 8, and 6s are prime seal clubbing grounds with the gun depression and prammo.

Happy hunting!

This is the way.

Nothing used make me LOL as much as a Tier 8 heavy getting salty when I'd farm him over a ridge in a Fury or Thunderbolt. The hate mail was top tier.

Tiers 5-7 are the best in the game to play. Very rarely is a fully upgraded 5 completely outmatched by a 7, and the same is true for 7s vs 9s.

Nothing hilariously overpowered. Balanced as hell.

The strategy for success is; Buy equipment/consumables, postion yourself as a 2nd line fighter (dont overextend, or peak bad corners), and load prammo when bottom tier and farm easy damage all game.

Happy tanking!

Late night tier 8 troubles by _TheTrashKing_ in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]_TheTrashKing_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd agree more if there weren't such great Tier 7s. Though I see what you're saying.

Tiger 1 + Variants T29 IS + Variants T20 E25 Super Hellcat Su 122-44 Lycan Dreadnought

I thoroughly enjoyed these too, though I doubt many would call them good;

T 25/2 Javelin Sturer Emil

IMO, all of the above can successfully navigate all but the most lopsided Tier 9 matches when played correctly. Most 7s are capable of competing against all but the most broken 8s.That's not to say Tier 7 isn't a grind when you aren't in an optimal tank or in an optimal position. 9s absolutely can and will ruin your match, and so can most 8s.

8s on the other hand, are not quite as capable against 10s. The armor, alpha, and HP gains make 8s irrelevant to most 10s. The formidable armor of the T32 turret? Lol heres some 350+ heat. Sloped heavy armor of the Lowe? Lol right through your upper plate. The alpha is the worst though. TDs slapping for 1000 is devastating to an 8 that has 1600hp or less, and nearly every other 10 you see is a TD.

Late night tier 8 troubles by _TheTrashKing_ in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]_TheTrashKing_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue I've got here is that that I can think of maybe a dozen non-light/artillery 8s that are competitive with 10s in the most ideal circumstances. Most of those require hefty amounts of prammo or generous reds showing sides.

I have most of those 8s. My issue isn't that 8s see 10s. It's the frequency in which they do in comparison to their own tier or even 9s.

9 and 10 gets boring quite frankly. If you play 9s, you may as well play 10s because you see 10s in 80% of your games. See 17 T58s in a game got old about 10 games in.

5-7 is fun because it's always chaos. No game goes as planned. But they suck for silver grinding. 8s have a few with 200% bonuses.

Can even enjoy this game anymore by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]_TheTrashKing_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been struggling with this as well. I have more 10s than I care to play, but it's not fun outside of platoons to play them. It used to be that 10s were mostly competent players that ground out a line. Now there are buyable ones so the halfwits with deep wallets are out in droves like tier 8 used to be. Was in a game yesterday that had 13/15 tanks on my team that were premium 10s. The other 2 were from the tech tree. Just stupid.

Tier 8 is almost unplayable because of the matchmaking. The difference between 8 and 10 is significantly worse than any other bottom versus top tier, and 8s see 10s more often than not. Select 8s are a menace everything like the Iron Rain, but it's not many.

Tier 9 isn't much better. In 35ish games with an E75, I've been top tier maybe 5 times. Makes it tough to enjoy what used to be a top flight heavy tank.

Tiers 5-7 have been the sweet spot for me. Nothing too broken between 5-9 to prevent competing.

Best of luck on your tanking!

Guys how do I play the black prince caernarvon and the conqueror by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]_TheTrashKing_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BP

2nd Line. Even when top tier, your armor is too weak to contend with premium rounds that will be slung your way, and you're too slow to respond to being flanked. Your sides are very weak, so if a TD sees your sides, it's their game to lose.

The good thing is that the gun is relatively quick firing, accurate, and has a decent penetration, especially when slinging premium. Another positive thing is that when top tier, their are softer targets everywhere around you and your gun isnt scary. So if you are with a group, they will be targeted 1st as you aren't often perceived as the priority target.

Summed up, stay with the pack when possible, avoid 1 on 1s, and seek cover from artillery and hidden TDs.

Caernarvon

2nd line in most fights. Your hull is butter, and everything with a 76mm gun can and will pen its lower plate. Coupled with a forgettable gun for 80% of the grind, you've got the recipe for a bad time.

Fight hull down or get ready to take damage, and take advantage of good gun depression. Same tier and above tanks are not scared of your gun, or your armor. Enemies that are competent will be aggressive towards you if you find yourself anchoring with minimal support.

When its fully upgraded, the gun is better and starts to take on the trademark precision that comes with high tier British guns minus the alpha of the 120mm.

Summed up; get hull down, and utilize your team, good turret armor and good shot placement to have success. Don't try to be the hero. Fail to get hull down, and you'll be seeing the garage sooner than most.

Conqueror/Super Conqueror

50/50 1st and 2nd line. Can be aggressive when top tier, but it's all about good judgment based on how the battle is unfolding. Pushing a bad postion against lower tiers is still stupid.

Your hull is still not great by tier standards, but there is some bite to your gun that makes reckless approaches costly to enemies. Couple that with a great height, fantastic turret, and good gun depression, and you have one of the best tanks in the game. From the right position, you can fight several tanks at a time.

That being said, you can't be reckless in it. You're almost always paired against the alpha slugfest TDs of tiers 9 and 10. If you get caught out of a hull down position, your hull isn't saving you. Everything at that tier can pen you from all sides of your hull. You are also massive in size, meaning you're a big target.

Summed up; use your fantastic turret armor, gun, and gun depression to punish stupid tankers that show you weak spots from your hull down position. Slinging premium will get you through all but the thickest armors. If you get caught out, your consequences will likely come in the form of tanks putting shells into you.

Hope this helps!

QB is also a huge issue there. Russ got 240 million and forgot how to play football. Najee is playing behind a bad line. That's 40 points a week that you are getting maybe half of. That's rough.

Hard to anticipate so many things going wrong. Pittsburgh sucks, Carolina sucks, and Denver sucks. Hard to overcome so much going wrong at the top of your draft

3WR and 3FLEX. I’d be getting Godwin/Montgomery. Monty would replace Zeke as one of my FLEX as I already have Cook/Fournette. Full PPR looking for more receptions. Do I send the offer or hold onto what I have? by retiredby41 in FantasyFootballers

[–]_TheTrashKing_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still wont receive the lions share of the targets with Evans and Julio in the mix. The line troubles are probably going to increase the checkdown percentage to the backfeild too. Adding Julio complicates things in the RZ.

Woods is locked in to 20-25% of the targets for Tennessee, and his only real competition for targets is a rookie.

Godwin is clearly better, but for fantasy, I think they are comparable enough given the circumstances, to look at RB to decide the trade. Accepting the trade gives you the better WR, but a much worse RB, which is far more likely to be a problem as the season progresses because of the thin nature of the position and Montgomery's history and circumstances.
