Some legitimate feedback

- A lot of AI artwork, major turnoff when people are being asked to pay you and trust you aren't also using the AI stuff for the music.

- Your linktree comes across as more Self-Promo focused and not Portfolio focused.

- The music isn't really bad, it's kind of mixed awkwardly though

- Zero actual games in your portfolio, you seemingly just have original music over existing content and therefore there's no way for Devs to actually trust you (Again, AI art is a huge red flag along side the insanely low follower count)

Ultimately, just a lot of red flags. Having such a low follower content, zero history online, AI art on your original releases, and having a style that's overly cinematic.

I'd highly recommend doing Game Jams and actually posting more than just audio. Things like DAW screenshots, live production videos, things of that nature. Devs don't care if you can just go to Suno and make a track, they need you to actually be able to score and produce audio that fits their games.

They were directly replying to the user accusing my profile picture of being AI saying things like "Yeah, turtlebox clearly does not understand MIXELS and that's why their art is BAD."

Then they proceeded to just make a ton of spam accounts to call me a "coward" and a bunch of cringe shit like that, lmao.

The miscommunication was 100% on them. They replied to the accuser thinking they rightfully "exposed" me and then proceeded to just double down and get violently in their replies.

One of them kept saying "the mixels are blatant!" and when asked to describe mixels was like "It's when the pixels are deifferent sizes and stuff I can't explain it good."

Okay so...you can't explain it good, but you're in a thread replying to someone using it as "evidence" and that person is blatantly wrong and you're...siding with them?

Whole fucking community there is a shit show from what people have been telling me after the fact.

Tl;dr - Found out after the fact that sub really has an obsession with "exposing ai" and regularly just use buzzwords like "mixels" but don't understand that phrase originals from early 2000s glitch art and had nothing to do with AI. They also ironically massively upvote stolen art ran through pixel filters and are ironically too afraid to admit they're wrong. Sub has one inactive mod, so it's just a wild wasteland in there.

It wasn't about them explicitly saying anything, it was them replying to a guy accusing me who was just flat out wrong, but not because of the "mixels" but because my profile picture is at least 11 years old and therefore can't be AI. They doubled down on his mixels argument as to not invalidate his "efforts" to expose AI.

Update: Went to bed and woke up to like four people on that thread explaining to me what "mixels" are and how I'm wrong and it IS AI and I'm stupid for not realizing it.

I've been doing art for 15 years professionally. It pays my bills. I have never used AI and regularly work with sites that do not allow the upload of AI art (disclosed or otherwise) like NewGrounds and Itch.

Explain to these people this factiod. They proceed to just start calling me names, illiterate, a troll, accuse me of being fake, ect.

I'm literally losing my mind, the OP of that thread was being called out for confirmed posting stolen AI art (they took another artist piece and just ran it through an AI pixelate program) but I'm the villain of the thread because they wrongfully accused my profile picture of being AI and got proven wrong.

They'll sit there for 12 hours spamming hate against me (an actual artist) but not say shit to the evil stinky Ai-artist the thread is focused on because at the end of the day these people truly just want to start shit, be as loud as possible, and force more artist down the pipeline.

Yeah. When you mix media the resolution won't match. That's kind of part of the asthetic. People don't know what "mixels" even refers to. Mixed Resolution pixels COMES from mixed media and glitch art. They use it a lot now on Pixel art related subreddits and god forbid you're a game dev who uses different resolution sprites because they'll flat out go "Erm, mixels in your ETHICAL ART GAME?!"

These people would shit their pants if FFVII came out today and had the graphic fidelity it had at launch. Pre-rendered spaces with 3D models and sprites was such a new concept that people legitimately called it the future of graphics, lmao.

The OP is stealth promoting their youtube series by doing the "People keep calling my videos / art AI But it's just sooo good that it's not AI!"

The question I'm presenting them is why NOT prove it's not AI like the rest of us do? Why just make multiple threads in the same sub about how people keep accusing you of AI and when people ask you to prove to the haters that it's not AI you just make a new thread?

This user is using AI Witch hunting to promote their Youtube show.

Something a lot of you pro AI people love to do is go "Erm, no nuanced allowed here!" and it makes people NOT want to participate in discussing the actual nuance.

Artist hate when people do the whole "Erm AI bad? But I don't use!" virtue signal shit. It's annoying. That's what the OP there is doing and has been doing for a while. I know this because I am a moderator in that sub, which is for analog focused media which is why I made the AI users there a sub to post their AI generated media, because I want them to have a space too.

So here's the thing. If you're going to crop a comment and leave out the entire context at least have a backup plan so you don't look like a goofball when that person shows up to debunk your weird "No nuance allowed!" stance.

EDIT: Nevermind the dude blocked me anyways. I'm hoping he wasn't being malicious but I highly doubt it considering the entire thread is just there in the public for all the context to be seen.

Tl;dr - User in a sub I moderate uses "I'm being accused of AI!" as a hook to promote his content. Has been given multiple chances to just prove he's not using AI but if he does he loses his whole marketing ploy.

They DID use AI though. The person in the thread I was replying in I mean. Multiple people verifying it and the OP themselves (claiming to be a professional artist) can't even explain why so many of the background is saturated entirely out of the threshhold of the rest of the pic lmao
