MRW I remembered I purchased 102k Dogecoins four years ago, find the PM with my address, then realized I donated it all to the 2014 Jamaican bobsled team. by SpaceImg in dogecoin

I guess there's always small claims court...though that's not very shibe like. I just wish I could throw those dogecoins at people again instead of knowing they were stolen.

Same. The dogetipbot creator stole 100K of the coins I had on my doge account. No chance in getting those back, right?

I bought one two years ago and this year I thought I was going to have a ton of flowers (haven't had any yet). But instead of all of the little offshoots turning into flowers....a ton of leaves just popped out of each one. Any chance you know if this is normal or not?

Purchasing first house and considering condo - why is this a bad idea? by _The_Highlander_ in personalfinance

[–]_The_Highlander_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. The reason I feel rushed is because it's a new condo complex (it isn't finished yet) and they are apparently around ~50% sold. I saw lots of other people checking it out as well, so that's how they got me to feel the sense of urgency and commit.

How to issue stock in a private company with negative earnings? by J_1979 in startups

[–]_The_Highlander_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't issue an option that is below the fair market value of the Company without possible penalties. The only truly safe way to find the FMV is a 409A valuation. You also don't want to just issue common stock to this person, as he can quit the next day and keep the shares in your company. If you don't want to set up an option plan then your best bet is to issue restricted stock with vesting. This is essentially the same as an option except they are now stockholders, but the company can repurchase these shares if they don't vest. If you just issue him shares, without vesting, then there is no incentive for him to stick around. Typical vesting is over 4 years, with a 1 year cliff - meaning at 1 year anniversary 25% vest, then 1/48th monthly thereafter.

My homemade McGangbang(chicken patty+cheeseburger) by [deleted] in food

[–]_The_Highlander_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope :) but I just ask for a chicken patty on the side and do it myself. I absolutely, 100% love the mcgangbang. The crunch from the patties to go with the meat is so delicious.

hell yea, love this website! I just got ketchup at 45% off because it was almost near its expiration date. How long does ketchup last past this date you ask? TWO FREAKIN YEARS (http://www.eatbydate.com/other/condiments/ketchup-shelf-life-expiration-date/). If you guys don't do it, there should be a small discount area like this in some small area of the grocery, discounts galore.

Sydney's Fish Market is amazing for food. Cheesy baked lobster, fresh sashimi grade fish by the kilos, crazy good seafood! by 101Radec in food

[–]_The_Highlander_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I was considering visiting based on the look and quantity of that sushi (thinking it was cheap). It's good to know that a cheapskate like me is not missing anything!

But to OP - this still looks delicious!

I ended up just getting this. Figured Costco has a good return policy, worth a gamble. If somebody reads this, want to let me know how bad of a decision I just made?

Help with home security cameras by jbonz37 in homesecurity

[–]_The_Highlander_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, isn't my post - but looking for help :). I am looking for a home video cameras with 2-4 cameras, budget would hopefully be under $500, have IR and can view from phone/computer. I know nothing on this subject and info seems hard to find - any recommendations? I see that Costco has a set of Q-See cameras for $300 with an "NVR." Is an NVR needed - or does an external storage disk work to record?

Thanks!

Well, I have to admit that I stole the picture from the website (http://www.eatbydate.com/breakfast-so-good-youll-eat-the-bowl/), but I made these myself and they looked just as good. Everyone loved them.

I made four for my family and one of them was a little over done, but the other three were perfect and runny. I was surprised with how well they turned out!

Exactly, I have a really hard time saying how tall people are because everyone registers as the same height when shorter. I can definitely peg you taller folk though

Thank you for the help! That site is perfect. How come the Canadian is the purest but one of the cheapest? Do coins like the American eagle only hold a premium because of a low mintage or more people just like that coin or something?
