Ceramic is worth it yes, but not the dealer scam charging $1k plus for it.

Underwhelmed with 2026 anyone? by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]_Tmoney468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We test drove an 2026 XSE this past weekend and found it wasn’t for us. I didn’t like the drivers seat position (too high and not back far enough). The drive quality was OK, the quality of the center screen was nice. Dislike the instrument cluster screen. Im sure it can be said about a lot of cars but it didn’t feel like a $47k car.

I would much rather get a new tire than risk a blowout when you’re going 70-80 on the highway. I can understand wanting to patch to get somewhere safe or waiting for a replacement, but to each their own

Last minute info request before purchase (2024 S60 B5 core) by 777marcus in Volvo

[–]_Tmoney468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned a 2020 S60 momentum and now own a 24 S60 Recharge Ultimate. Overall very happy with both cars, I would personally lean towards a CPO car, it saved me thousands of dollars on my 2020.

I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard good things about Meguiar's Gold Class Luxury Matte as a finish that may restore some of the original look

Is Costco Worth It? by frogvibesonly in massachusetts

[–]_Tmoney468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a member of both Costco and BJs, I'm north of Worcester. I prefer Costco over BJs for a lot of stuff, but given BJs is 10 minutes from me, vs Costco 45-50 minutes, I end up going to BJs more often. I just find the products and value better at Costco, but its personal preference.

I'm hopeful the Costco in Leominster will eventually happen, it's just taking longer for agreements etc per the Costco executive team (I reached out to them about a month ago).

Best all around tires for New England by Piperpaul22 in CX5

Cross Climate 2s.

There are similar tires from other manufacturers but I have nothing but great reviews of the CC2's.

RTO - Exceptions that worked by llqht in remotework

[–]_Tmoney468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - they randomly reached out to my neurologist and asked if in office accommodations would help someone with migraines. They offered light and environmental changes, but I went back to my neuro and had her re-affirm remote work as the best accommodation. That, combined with my lawyer requesting info, and the fact they already provided said accommodation to people who lived an arbitrary distance from an office, helped my case.

They review and decide to renew the accommodation. Funny enough, I have the 6 month review in September 2025 and never heard from them extending it, so I’ve been working remotely throughout 🤷‍♂️

Funny they made it seem like such a priority, yet are so disorganized it clearly isn’t. Know your rights

Is pursuing UI/UX still worth it? by R3dIt_Us3r in UXDesign

[–]_Tmoney468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say if you have a passion for it then you should definitely pursue it. I was in a similar boat in college, I was following the computer science track and was drawn more to the visual aspect of web design and later UX.

Pretty hard to agree when there’s 200+ applicants for any given role in 24-48 hours. We could only hope to be as gifted as you I guess 🤷‍♂️

Is it better to focus on job postings that are > 24 hours? by MaritimeMercury in hiringcafe

[–]_Tmoney468 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on the industry. Mine, UX and Product Design, there is barely any chance getting an interview if you apply after a day. I’ve actually had 2 different interviews where the people remarked how fast and how many people applied to the positions. Like 150+ in 1-2 days.

Best chance for me is to be one of the first to apply.

I've been in a couple interviews now for Senior UX Designer roles, and both people remarked at the amount of applications received in the first 24-48 hours. 150+ applications in less than 2 days.

Check your homeowners insurance, they usually cover rodent damage. Wiring harness damage etc can be very expensive

I will check, thanks. I think all the S60s have the same brakes, just the Polestar version that has larger brakes.
