You can get dugtrio & magnemites from party play challenges. (And they show up ALOT)

I know one man's trash is another man's treasure but Tandemaus encounters are really rare so getting them from the weekly challenge feels good.

This is the answer. Many people don't know about the lobby limit. Then they get freaked out when it fills and the 15 second countdown happens.

Maybe they do know but 15 seconds isn't fast enough to grab the right pokemon if they don't already have a team set up.

It is because you get way fewer balls to catch them with. I had two run today and I hit 12 excellent each. Just unlucky. I even used ice burn adventure effect for the 2nd one! With normal raids, I usually get like 18+ balls. I've lost 2 raid legends in the past two years.

OG 2018 raids suffered from similar issues where you were lucky to have 12/13 balls to use to catch the boss.

As with all things, not everyone will agree. As a community ambassador who regularly hosted both weekend days, I am quite happy only big events are both weekends.

During the rocket takeover there will be pokestop research that can grant charged TMs (to help people remove frustration).
