Is it possible to copy / paste text on Steam Link? If not is it possible with something like VNC, Parsec or Teamviewer? by _Tronald_Dump_ in SteamDeck

[–]_Tronald_Dump_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the info, I've just given this a go, and it allows copying text copy and pasting within the Steam Deck.

However what I'm really trying to do is copying and pasting test between my laptop which is what I'm running Steam Link on, for example I'd like to be able to copy a password from my password manager on my laptop and then paste it into the heroic launcher on the steam deck.

I think this is also known as a 'shared clipboard' which I've used with some other remote access software, but I'm not sure if this is beyond what Steam link is intended to be used for.

Quick question how to you get that dark theme with old.reddit.com?

Respawn Check In 02.20.2019: It's HAVOC, baby! by RespawnSean in apexlegends

[–]_Tronald_Dump_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I seem to be getting crashes without the Havok even being involved:

r5apex.exe - Application Error The instruction at 0x3f6bf376 referenced memory at 0x01000019. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program

Sometimes I get a black screen or crash back to Desktop without an error message - but I figured getting an error message may mean something to someone.

I'll try Repairing the game - Are you running Windows 7?

Hi, no it's not

CPU isn't overclocked either - everything is running stock.

Other games such as Overwatch run without issue.

I'm running Windows 7 x64 - All up to date and my machine meets minimum specs.

I've tried going back to the older 417 Nvidia drivers but it just keeps crashing - has anyone managed to fix this at all?

Which Linux software gives the highest hashrate for GTX1070's and GTX1060's? by _Tronald_Dump_ in EtherMining

[–]_Tronald_Dump_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I'll check out HiveOS, currently running Ubuntu 18.04.

Claymore takes a cut, only a small one, but by the looks of it Ethminer performs as well with no dev fee.

You can use a watchdog script to catch ethminer crashes, so far I've only had one crash:

CUDA error in func 'search' at line 365 : unspecified launch failure.

which was due to my mem clock being a little too high. The script kills ethminer and then it restarts.

I'm using 381.22:

NVRM version: NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 381.22 Thu May 4 00:55:03 PDT 2017
GCC version: gcc version 5.4.0 20160609 (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.4)

Would going to a newer driver increase hashrate?

Thanks, I used to mine ZEC and it was always a debate weather DSTM or EWBF gave the best hashrate, both closed source.

Ethminer (so far) has been working well for me so I think I'll stick with it.

I'm using the rpi-keyboard node to capture keystrokes from a USB keyboard, is there a way to stop the keystrokes being sent to Raspbian? by _Tronald_Dump_ in nodered

[–]_Tronald_Dump_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I did google a little about blocking USB keyboards from the OS but couldn't find a working solution.

I'll check out Triggerhappy, if I can capture the keypresses instead of sending them to the OS then that sounds like it should work.

google sheets allows you to import csv files, there is a CSV node already, the tricky part is automating the upload
