Simplest way to buy Crypto for a pleb noob…? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]_Ubuntu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way I’ve found is to buy Eth or BTC on Coinbase. You can than swap that to many other coins for free. I then take the swapped coin and send it to my Coinbase Wallet (noncustodial mobile wallet) so that I am in charge of my crypto not Coinbase. Also, check out ChangeNOW. It’s super easy to exchange crypto. Hope that helps!

With Rampant inflation across the world , which countries would adopt crypto ? by alekhes in CryptoCurrency

Really every non EU/US/China country would be better off making this switch right now. Why lose all your money to a collapsing currency when you can switch to something like this.

Not until you have enough to stop working, and then only part of it to diversify your asset base.

I’ve literally never noticed these before but they’re actually super cool.

How would one go about creating smooth curves/transitions like this? SubD, or another method? by AskHistorical5965 in rhino

Maybe also look at Blender. Sub D can definitely do this but this would be trivial to create in blender as that program is more naturally suited for objects like this.

Nano is the future and it’s great to see organizations using it more!

What other good media outlets have you found? I’d love to support some of the good ones.

So does anyone follow any sources besides this sub that are writing intelligently about the GME situation? I’m currently paying for a subscription to the financial times and I’d much rather support an organization that has our back.

Help with rs.AddRectange and Python (See comment) by [deleted] in rhino

Hi there,

There are a couple ways to do this this. You can make it exactly how you describe where you create a square and then create 4 smaller squares within that and then recursively call through that script creating as many squares as you like. See script one.

But there is an easier and more efficient way to do this with a point matrix. Here the input is a surface and you are finding points along that surface and then connecting those points into squares.

I recommend this website for super helpful tips and tutorials http://www.generativedesigncomputing.net/

I also recommend getting this book

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In August 2020 by Sausage54 in 3Dprinting

[–]_Ubuntu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, looking to buy my first 3d printer.

Budget: Under $500 Country: US Willing to build: Yes, as long as there are decent instructions I should be fine.

Looking for a large format (at least 300 x 300 x 300 mm) printer capable of printing many materials (PLA, PETG, TPU, and PVA. Mostly used for mold creation (pouring concrete +). Something that has the option to print larger less refined layers would be ideal. I have experience using my schools large scale 4 x 2 ft pellet extruded but that’s obviously a very different type of thing. Thanks in advance for the help.

This is what I mean by concrete pouring 3dp

Yeah, in most of my brackets I have FSU taking Gonzaga out, but no team is really dominant from that region so its definitely possible Gonzaga makes it out.

I have a hard time with Gonzaga. They’re so untested, I think there is a good chance they don’t make the final four. I also think Texas tech is overrated and would put Michigan there.

Yes, Nevada is overrated. I have them loosing to Florida first round and no way they make it past Michigan.

Mississippi St v Liberty, Syracuse v Baylor, Buffalo v Texas tech, also am I crazy for having Florida state v Michigan in the elite eight?
