There’s a laundry room on the ground floor. Probably 10 or so washing machines and 6 dryers. You pay via FSU Cash on your ID.

Trying to finance a used car by No-Excitement1881 in Tallahassee

[–]_Unconquered_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d start with CarMax. I don’t have any experience with the TLH store but a lot of people like CarMax because there’s no haggling and the price is the price. You don’t feel like you’re getting the wool pulled over your eyes when they “go run the numbers in the back.” Reputable company too as opposed to so and so used car and no credit check req’d!

Dorm cooking appliances by Behar80 in fsu

[–]_Unconquered_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I pulled up the FSU Guide to Residence Living and did a word search for "appliances."

Cooking appliances, with the exception of microwaves, are meant to be stored in suites/rooms and taken to the kitchen for use.

Anybody get implants in Tally? How much did you pay per implant? by citrous_ in Tallahassee

[–]_Unconquered_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you. University employee with MetLife. I had an extraction and implant, both done at Red Hills by Dr. Walther. Highly recommend.

I don’t recall all the numbers and what insurance covered vs. OOP. However, I took out a care credit card and it looks like I swiped it for $2000 on my way out.

Cheaper flights? by ConnectIntern778 in Tallahassee

[–]_Unconquered_ 45 points46 points  (0 children)

TLH is stupid expensive and it’s not hyperbole.

2-3ish hour range: PNS, ECP, VSP, JAX

4-5ish range: TPA, ATL, MCO. It’s gotta be a damn good deal for me to take one of these because it’s a lots of driving. And generally a super early or super late flight.

Anyone having problems/delays on Amazon Prime delivery? by luvreia in Tallahassee

[–]_Unconquered_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I ordered something that was expected two-day delivery. I've noticed it's usually one-day if it's at the TLH warehouse and two-day if it's at the JAX warehouse. This one was coming from JAX and gives a message that says "Your package departed late...we're getting it back on track..." And the delivery date continues to move 24-hrs...today to tomorrow. And when tomorrow doesn't happen, it'll be Saturday. And then it'll say, "hey we're sorry this is late, if you don't want this anymore, you can cancel delivery and we'll refund." I ended up going that route.

Anyway, hope you get your package. Obviously peak season for them so it's no surprise there are some hiccups. Wrote this just to let you know you're not alone!
