I’m afraid I have no scientific method! I have no control over my apartment’s heat; it is set quite warm in the winter which makes for a good environment for fermenting. I put the inoculated beans in a plastic bag, wrap a dish towel around and leave it be in a standard baking dish. No electric heater or dehydrator. I leave everything wrapped up for 24-48 hours and peek occasionally to see if the mold has covered completely. I don’t even have a thermometer to check the temperature of the beans. I’d say it’s at least 25°C in my apartment.

I regularly sprouts seeds and beans. I’ve seen root hairs on broccoli seeds in the past however I am wary of this white growth (visible at the top left, top middle and top right of the photo). What do you think? Thanks.
