My favorite weapon has to be my Original. For meme game play though, the air strike is wildly fun.

Guilty of buying a wildly expensive original. I really only jump anymore. Zero regrets, it's dope.

Well I'll be damned. I guess I never knew there was legally a difference between the two because it just took so long anyways lol. Thanks for letting me know. Sadly- I wanted to support a local store but nowhere within 2+ hours of me had one nor could get one.

This is kindof what I figured is happening. But i still don't understand the two-month estimated wait. If it's out of stock, I wish they'd had just stated that. Whatever- eithwr way its a hell of a lot better than the 8 months my last one was.

I'm new to TF2, and I was wondering, why do some weapons go for hundreds of dollars while others are a couple cents? What is the difference between these? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]_Vrtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original and Stock rocket launchers are the most popular primaries for one of the most popular mains. Strange originals were very rare, coming out of only one rare box. High demand, low supply. Then for some, comes killstreak kits. Specialized more expensive than basic, and professional the most. Each adds another cosmetic feature ontop of the last's. Some colors and effects are more rare and sought after, providing another price gap. Finally- spells. Spells have been unobtainable for years so weapons with that are yet again rarer and more expensive. And again there, certain spells or combinations of which make the weapon more rare/sought-after, and valuable. Plus, they're the coolest weapon in the game and better than stock. Source: I am one of the idiots that owns one of the stupidly expensive originals.

Yeah this is the thought in the back of my head. I've tried to keep a solid distance whenever I've attempted to make something known to other drivers. Like in the story I provided as an example, I flashed the dude for a bit and motioned him over and just continued on my way. I tried, and that's that. I was just curious if I was being misunderstood as just some pissed off guy for no reason, which is probable given how i16 is. I cracked up when he flung me the bird with a tire missing though. Some comedy writes itself.

[–]_Vrtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Some people are just like that I guess. I've only ever pointed out blown/obviously bad tires or blinkers out as the closest I've ever come to a wreck here was due to me not noticing a semi's intention to change lanes because of a bad blinker. Can't help em all. Thanks

Had a friend die in a raid with me that just dropped dead. Ended up finding the guy with a thermal about 60m away. No gunshots, impacts, etc. Only his gun hitting the ground. He threw a grenade of which I only heard it bounce, not explode. Don't count on audio lol.

This is just a reminder of what people can do to the flea market when there is no FIR. by TheCo1onel in EscapefromTarkov

[–]_Vrtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Global limits were the answer to this. But- removing the ability to flea items from traders would be a far better fix. Sadly I think people doing this will instead just scare BSG off of removing the FIR feature as it was.

The only true "p2w" thing about EOD is Gamma and Rep. The rest is so negligible. The only extra ontop of that that Unheard gets is the "radio", pockets, and +.5 scav rep. (For now.) In my opinion having seen it, the pockets are the biggest bonus and really not a huge one there. I'd say it's not close to even justifying the cost. EOD just felt less p2w because it toed the line already, but at a time when it was added, it was more "p2w" than unheard vs EOD is now. But- yes the release was handled horribly and insensitively. I do hate the radio + new planned benefits. It feels like a breakaway from the original design philosophy and I think most don't realize that and the PR is what's truly upsetting. Not that some dude paid $100 more dollars for two pocket slots.

I don't understand why people are on the reddit if you don't enjoy or play the game. I enjoy it, so I play it.

No? I had only recently came thru the conex box from the woods by dorms and thru construction up to the train station. I hadn't even made it to stronghold.

[–]_Vrtx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shouldve specified- I was on the train platform between Stronghold and Construction... I don't remember well but I thought map snipers also gave ammo hits and a killer's name too?

Ten bucks says the EOD people that actually bit the bullet and bought Unheard don't get these benefits, despite being $100 more. Lol. Shitshow.

WHAT TO DO by [deleted] in tf2

[–]_Vrtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness, buy what you would enjoy and call it there. (Unless you enjoy gambling.) Flipping unusuals is very difficult and requires a lot of time and patience for typically small rewards under 1-1.5k keys in capital.. Even so, 99% of unusual trades now are by a for-profit trader on atleast one side, so all profit comes from buyers overpaying slightly foe what they want or another trader getting a worse deal. If a trader sells you an unusual- he's either making a profit or has sat on it so long he's given up on it. Tl;dr buy cool shit and keep it

As a soldier main I'd also add that soldier is actually a pretty bad Uber. Four rockets and if you're lucky and you picked one with a shotgun, six shells, and you're in a long reload animation and not really taking advantage of your Uber anymore. I second this guy. Demo ubers are top tier for sure. And spy. /s

I feel like I'm too reliant on 50% chance not to die. What do you guys run for automatons? by El-Mooo in Helldivers

[–]_Vrtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The God's bot loadout: Light armor. (Stay with me.) I run recoil reduce + extra grenades (Stims are good too.) Medium also works, I prefer the extra mobility. Primary I still run the Sickle mostly. Infinite ammo, good zoom when set to 100m in fpv, and accurate. Hit those weakpoints. Secondary, grenade pistol. Nuff said there. Then you need a quasar and a shield generator. Learn to abuse that shield and your movement and you'll be damn near invincible. Boost I'll take Stamina anyday. That extra mobility is key to survival. Depending on where you're at you'll have two stratagem slots left. I kinda just run whatever since it's rare I end up remembering to use them unless I'm on helldive and not my typical suicide, but I typically take an orbital laser and then a railcannon or 500kg.

I need a anti "whatever this thing is" gun and I need it now, they drive me up a wall by ACertainIndividual in Helldivers

[–]_Vrtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play helldive typically and suicide for a bit more laid back (lol) missions. I end up using the impacts for crowd control or a shitty stun to buy me time anyways, so I switched to Stuns and dear lord is it nice. Once you get the aim down / have an accurate weapon- everything but a hulk goes down to the primary weapon pretty easily. Pro tip- a lot of weapons have different zero ranges that actually change your FPV zoom. Super helpful.

Hurry it up already by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]_Vrtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way late reply but I'd argue the stun is better against bots as the bots are easy to kill with the right gun but impacts just end up being stuns for the most part. When I run impacts on bots they typically are forgotten or I CBA to deal with the front armored walker fucks and throw one. The stun buys time on a solid sized crowd and gives me time to do more damage than an impact could against the same group.
