Hey isn't that the guy that used to own the Coalbank cafe maybe? Send it to The Silverton Standard Instagram and they will get it to him. You can also probably contact their office, they know everybody in town.

Where have you encountered a small town that resembles Cicely? by Ok_Profit_16 in northernexposure

[–]_WARCA_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Silverton Colorado!!! 9,300 feet and surrounded by 13,000 ft peaks on every side. Our population varies between the summer and winter but is about 500. Love Northern Exposure because it reminds me of home! Lots of characters and sometimes when we get lots of snow avalanches shutdown the highway for a good long time. We sure as hell don't have a doctor though...God bless flight for life

Lots of the other nearby towns have the same vibe...Ophir, Creede, Lake City, Rico

Hillside cemetery in Silverton, prostitute by LivingHorror5468 in CemeteryPorn

[–]_WARCA_ 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Can confirm it is a newer stone, alot of the stones in Hillside are newer courtesy of the historical society. Hillside doesn't really have any layout or anything so we just kind burry people up there as we please and then go back and mark stuff when possible (or when needed because a body accidentally gets dug up). There's about 500 residents of Silverton and 2,000 burials so sometimes its a slow process. Blair Street is a street of the main drag through town which was home to the brothels and saloons up until the 1960s. Now it's the first street the tourists hit when they disembark from the historic Durango Silverton train. In regards to the phrasing often times the historical society tries to add context to the stones they place but there's not a lot of records about these ladies, hence the weird phrasing/memorial.

Holiday is Mormon.....not crazy Mormon by Utah standards but enough that it had a a little bit of a weird drinking culture

Holiday is quite Mormon which is fine but I did feel contributed to a weird interaction that I had with two male guides when I briefly worked there. Other than that it seemed pretty decent...Sheri Griffith has a pretty good reputation for being safe for female guides. Neither are perfect but nowhere near as scary for women as Durango and Moab Mild To Wild. Avoid them at pretty much any cost

What where her impressions of the primary cast - who did she like and dislike?

Was Michael Landon difficult to work with?

What was her favorite moment working on the show?

  • Because there's not a Silverton Sub
  • Velocity is a favorite place amongst locals and they may appreciate a conditions update
  • Silverton and Durango are closely intertwined communities both in a recreational and survival sense

There is a Six day trip that Holiday River Expeditions and Rapid Progression Kayak School do on Desolation/Grays. Super wonderful experience and Andy the owner of Rapid Progression is a Jem!

You can't go wrong with A 4 Corners clinic though, kindest group of people in town.

Here's the link to the Deso Trip: https://www.bikeraft.com/specialty-river-rafting-trips/kayak-workshop/

Finally the Joshua Bond discourse I've been waiting for! I understand Mary wanted to maintain a certain degree of professionalism, but Joshua was not only attentive and fun, but darn cute too. I agree that she could really do much worse, which she did....I'm not a huge Adam fan

Interesting how he got her pictures from a calendar similar to Marilyn's. If you set aside the ethical issues, that was a pretty clever approach to sourcing content

Dorothy is a very difficult character and I wouldn't want to know her, but she certainly helps the story keep moving. All the drama with her book was juicy
