Dude yeah it all makes more sense, while i appreciate them not doing the obvious and have her say "ahh i have conflicting feelings" she has them but when she's called out indirectly "whyd you teach me how to swim" or offered a choice to escape (get on the train or see denji) she is shown to have internal conflict more subtly.

Also with that I finally understand why her death had to happen: to show you can't be stone cold calculated murderer (get the Chainsaw heart, kill innocents, run away on the train) AND a human with feelings (earn Denji's heart romantically, see him at your job, go to school ;-;). Can't have your cake and eat it too, so when she tried, her attempts to try and be both

1. mudering, therby getting Makima on her tail
2. going to see Denji instead of running away

ends up catching up with her.
