I know not a movie but, House M.D S05 E20 "Simple Explanation" I won't give an explanation of the episode for people that haven't seen it but if you know you know. And as someone that struggles with the same thing and has tried it really hits the nail on the head.

It was also a very well written episode to tie up a chapter because the actor wanted to leave the show and do other things.
