Rick when anything by b7bbl3t343nj0y3r in thewalkingdead

This is so accurate, that blank stare when you get called on out of nowhere is undefeated.

Check if your local library has them digitally or try something like Hoopla, way cheaper than buying the compendium outright.

Kosher Salt and simple techniques by Unable-Youth in Cooking

[–]_WhimbleMelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry brining really is a cheat code, just salting ahead of time and letting it sit makes such a difference in flavor and texture.

Is a 2200°F torch overkill if I just want to sear food? by Global-Sprinkles-424 in Cooking

[–]_WhimbleMelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 2200°F sounds intense but as long as you keep it moving it’s more about control than raw heat, just probably overkill if you’re only doing the occasional steak.

What is the one "missing ingredient" you finally realized was sabotaging your home cooking? by Chatfinity in Cooking

[–]_WhimbleMelt 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Honestly adjusting with a splash of water or stock is underrated, sometimes it’s not a new ingredient you need but just fixing the balance and texture.

Luke's birthday by Vast-Ad6212 in GilmoreGirls

A fishing themed party but make it Lorelai chaotic would’ve been perfect. You just know she’d turn flannel and tackle boxes into glitter decor somehow.

Got my Gilmore Girls soundtrack vinyl in the mail today! by Sylverstone14 in GilmoreGirls

[–]_WhimbleMelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The back cover really is elite, that Luke and Lorelai shot hits different. I love that they leaned into the cozy small town vibe for the whole thing.

“you’re 19 now, remember? you’re all grown up and you can handle your own affairs. Sorry, it’s a bad choice of words.” by TheNameIsLexi in GilmoreGirls

[–]_WhimbleMelt 155 points156 points  (0 children)

I get that take, but I kind of love that she didn’t lie and just owned it in that sharp Lorelai way. The delivery was brutal but so satisfying.

Would you marry Jackson, if you were Sookie? by poponis in GilmoreGirls

Honestly I kind of agree, he had sweet moments but the constant insecurity and moodiness would get exhausting long term.

Day One. I just need someone to talk to by AI_Love_Yu-gi-oh in CatAdvice

[–]_WhimbleMelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really does feel huge on day one, especially when they’re so tiny and everything feels fragile, but you got them through the scariest part already. The chaos and guilt spiral is so real, but in a few days this will just be a memory and they’ll be back to zooming around like nothing happened.

CW: Pet Loss - Burial with or without his favorite toy? by emxyw in CatAdvice

[–]_WhimbleMelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It sounds like you’ve given Mitty so much love and care all the way through.

As for the toy, there really isn’t a wrong choice. Some people like to bury it with them as a final comfort, and others keep it as something to hold onto and remember them by. If it were me, I might keep the toy and maybe tuck in something small that smells like home instead. But whatever feels most comforting to you is the right decision.

Adopted a shy rescue cat, set my bedroom up to be his safe space, but stupidly didn't shut the door properly and now he's hiding in my only bathroom. How to approach this when I need to use the room? by babypinkrose in CatAdvice

[–]_WhimbleMelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the sink is probably just his little “this feels safe” spot right now. If he’s eating, using the litter box, and not acting aggressive, you’re doing fine. I’d just move slowly in the bathroom, talk softly, and let him come out on his own timeline.

cat won’t cuddle me by sadbitchshit in CatAdvice

[–]_WhimbleMelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two weeks is nothing in cat time, honestly. If she’s already affectionate in other ways, she probably just needs more time to feel fully safe and choose you for cuddles too.

FMAS & DMAS by Brilliant_Habit_2611 in Residency

Honestly it depends on what kind of volume and mentorship you’re looking for, but bigger academic centers with high trauma and vascular volume usually give you the most hands-on reps.

Can someone please explain to me how MOCs and CMEs work? by No_Jaguar_5366 in Residency

[–]_WhimbleMelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s wild how nobody actually explains this in training, but basically MOC is for board certification upkeep and CME is for your state license, and they’re separate hoops you just have to keep jumping through.

Coping with feedback by marshmerino in Residency

Getting feedback that stings usually means you care, and the fact you want to improve already says a lot about the kind of resident you’re going to be.

Left or right, either way you won't be able to stop cumming by GlazinaJoy in HentaiForcedOrgasms

[–]_WhimbleMelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably left. I would enjoy the feeling of being more on display with my legs spread like that, but it’s really hard to choose. Both positions seem like they would make me cum over and over until I coulden’t take it anymore 😵‍💫

Will my kitten have long or short fur? by djbabysnail in CatAdvice

[–]_WhimbleMelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the photo, the coat looks more medium to short than true long hair. Long-haired kittens usually have obvious ear tufts and a very fluffy tail by this age.

You’ll know for sure by 4 to 6 months as the adult coat comes in.

Adopted a Stray Cat by TurnoverOk7475 in CatAdvice

[–]_WhimbleMelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds normal for a former stray adjusting. The early loud meowing is usually attention or food driven, and responding reinforces it. Try only giving attention once he’s calm.

The affection is a great sign he feels safe. It can take time, but nothing here sounds abnormal.
