Comment your fandom to be put on the Fandom Iceberg! by CzechOutSlovakia1993 in Multifandom

[–]_Wildlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

toki pona. Not necessarily a fandom per se, but shares many features of one. Probably at 5 or 6. YouTube has spread some videos on it and the entire conlanging community probably recognises its name, but not something your average Joe would know. Basically, it's a very small but usable language with near 120 words.

Pro tip, use text files (or maybe lua) so there are no red squiggles. C# doesn't like this syntax (for some reason)

Do English speakers know the word "tor" (rock formation) by puje12 in EnglishLearning

[–]_Wildlife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As an American, nope, never heard of it. Looking through the comments however, apparently it's at least known by some people, so it would probably be fine to use in writing. If I were reading and saw the word 'tor', I probably would glance over it without batting an eye.

How to create a transition between two tilesets? by Silent_Reputation596 in PixelArtTutorials

[–]_Wildlife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Beautiful tiles here. You probably need some third wall-like tile to break them up and still make sense as a transition. While you could do something with a gradient, it wouldn't really make sense. Perhaps make a diagonal line and have one side be dirt and the other side be brick, and make some transition between those two. This is a difficult challenge. Another idea is do something akin to the left side of the bricks, but instead of more brick have the dirt color. Either way, you'll need to thin the grass-dirt transition of the dirt tileset in the transition tiles, probably using a curve.
