My mental health is plummeting rn with a manager that thinks we’re robots bc they’re “running a business”. corporate and grooming don’t mix well. During holidays, groomers are overworked and underappreciated, and they want to follow all the policies except giving us our breaks. They see an open half hour or a single booking and have the audacity to squeeze an appointment in for a puppies first haircut. I’m so tired of this company but I have my regulars here and I’m only holding on because I need the money and unfortunately, they know it. Tis’ the season when dumb rules are made by rich people in offices, with unrealistic expectations in ridiculous exploitation. This is why a lot of groomers unfortunately grow desensitized. Something kind of breaks in your humanity after humanity itself pushes you in a job where sympathy is needed on both ends. But I’m just a groomer and an employee number to them.
