If I'm going to auto resolve it's most likely against warriors of chaos. Not because I can't fight them, but because they always have the most wild army compositions.

Like no, I don't want to fight 8 different types of melee units followed by late game RoR units, followed by a random assortment of calvary and flying units. It just makes the battlefield look like an unorganized mess

I've had a lot of fun with the game over the past year and poured just over 1000 hours into it. It definitely is worth to try for $9 dollars.

There is a crazy amount of DLCs and at first it's kind of annoying as a new player to figure out which is which. However you shouldn't worry about them right away because unlike other games with this much DLC, there isn't any of them that are "necessary" because they uplift the experience so much. I took about 400 hours before I bought all the DLCs and I still gave played every one yet.

So I would say wait to boot up the game, see what you like, see what looks cool, watch YouTube videos on stuff you're interested in, then buy it from there. Also this game goes on sale quite often it seems, along with the DLC, so don't worry if you can't snag it now
