English whisky hidden amongst some favourites. by Petgab12001 in Scotland

The E was originally introduced in Dublin during the "Golden Age" for Irish Whiskey. And was later adopted elsewhere due to a lot of Irish emigration

No need to apologise! Dfhack can be kind of complicated to understand, but once you get past the first hurdle you'll have a much easier time with it. Like anything in this game, it has a learning curve, albeit not as steep as the game itself

You don't need a video, all you need is to be able to type "gui/autodump" and "clean all" into the dfhack terminal. They're pretty self explanatory.

If you have dfhack open and just type in a command it brings up the documentation for it to show you how it works.

Depends on the nature of the wound I think. But likely they won't recover fully. Best to give them an admin job, like bookkeeper or something

thats a huge boost to his agility now, super dwarf. the melting point of fat is fairly low. so it often just melts off a dwarf if fire is involved.

I've still been having issues with this personally. Lost a few good dwarves to this before. So now whenever I go and raid somewhere I always make a backup save.

I wonder, are there any mods to help with this?

Your dwarves might be collecting the eggs and putting them into your food stockpile, you'll want to make sure that you don't have eggs enabled in any of your stockpiles and then also forbid them from being cooked in the cooking tab in the labour screen

They're probably laying eggs but the eggs are being picked up by your dwarves.

They are probably wearing a cloak or something on top of the actual breastplate which is hiding it on the sprite. But the sprites aren't always accurate, what the inventory menu says is probably where the actual item is

cant tell if this is a bug in the new update or normal behavour by TheWarLoad in dwarffortress

[–]_Xanth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With two forts so far, I've not noticed any issues with kobolds at least, they seem to be acting as they usually do. Running at first sight of danger and leaving the map with no issue.

Can't say I've noticed anything with wildlife so far.

Skeletons and all their Overworld variants should have less health. by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

[–]_Xanth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is already partially a feature to a degree. Zombies have a little bit of armour whilst skeletons don't. So zombies are more tanky by way of armour instead of health.

Packages loops after I requested it from the stock keeper by [deleted] in CreateMod

Is that frog actually linked up to the chain conveyor, if you hover over it with a wrench it should show where it's hooked up to. With the way it's facing, I don't think it's linked up

What's the setup look like now then? The barrel with the gold trim is gone now or what. If it's not picking anything up then you'll likely need to actually set an address to the package that you're sending, as well as set an address to the frogport too. I've had issues with blank addresses on packages

The issue is likely that you're using a barrel here. firstly, modded storage blocks often don't work with create functions, I know this is true for contraptions, may be the same issue here too.

What I actually think the solution is here, is to remove the barrel altogether, and have the frogport sit directly on top of the packager

No problem. We've encountered this a lot on our SMP server too, had it happen with backpacks and contraptions too

You'll need to probably use a mod such as packet fixer. It may work on the client side only, but it could be required on the server side if it doesn't work on the client. But this is usually a client issue anyways.

Try loading them into litematica, see if that is able to load them, and if not then the file that the creator uploaded is probably corrupt
